Özet
Pandemi sürecinin dünya genelinde yarattığı ekonomik, sosyal, ticari ve tedarik zinciri sorunları, tekstil sektörünü derinden etkilemiştir. Tüketici ve hızlı moda odaklı tekstil endüstrisinde rekabeti artırmanın temel unsurları; katma değerli tasarım, ürün geliştirme, hızlı servis sağlama ve üretim faktörlerinin verimli kullanımı olmuştur. Bu doğrultuda, ürün tasarımı ve geliştirme süreçlerinde yalınlaşma ihtiyacı kaçınılmaz hale gelmiştir. Dünya Klasında Üretim (World Class Manufacturing – WCM) yaklaşımı, yalın üretim temeline dayalı olarak sürekli iyileştirme odaklı en iyi uygulamaları arayan, operasyonel mükemmellik ve rekabetçiliği hedefleyen bir üretim sistemidir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, WCM yaklaşımının tekstil sektöründe uygulanabilirliğini ortaya koyarak literatüre katkı sağlamaktır. Tez kapsamında, pilot çalışma alanı olarak seçilen Tasarım Merkezi'nde WCM'nin temel araçları kullanılarak birimin darboğaz noktaları belirlenmiş; PUKO döngüsü çerçevesinde problemlerin kök nedenleri analiz edilmiş ve çözüm odaklı alternatif yöntemler geliştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, WCM vizyonu doğrultusunda üretim süreçlerinde sağlanan verimlilik artışı somut çıktılarla ortaya konmuş; sektörel dönüşüm için uygulanabilir bir model önerisi sunulmuştur.

The global economic, social, commercial, and supply chain disruptions caused by the pandemic have deeply impacted the textile sector. In the consumer and fast fashion oriented textile industry, the key drivers of competitiveness have become value-added design, product development, rapid service delivery, and efficient utilization of production resources. Accordingly, the need for lean practices in product design and development processes has become inevitable. The World Class Manufacturing (WCM) approach is a production system based on lean manufacturing principles, aiming to achieve operational excellence and competitiveness through continuous improvement and best practices. The primary objective of this study is to contribute to the literature by demonstrating the applicability of the WCM approach within the textile sector. As part of the thesis, the Design Center selected as the pilot study area was analyzed using core WCM tools to identify bottlenecks. The root causes of problems were examined through the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, and solution-oriented alternative methods were developed. The study revealed measurable improvements in production efficiency, aligned with the WCM vision, and an applicable model proposal for sectoral transformation was presented.
