Özet
Bu çalışma, Niğde yöresinde koyun kan ve sütlerinde Toxoplasma gondii'nin ELISA testi ile saptanması amacı ile Nisan 2023-Eylül 2023 tarihleri arasında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bunun için 6 farklı çalışma merkezinde (Bor, Karaatlı, Kumluca, Aktaş, Bahçeli, Koyunlu) bulunan 1 yaş ve üzeri toplam 182 koyundan steril vakumlu tüplere 10ml kan örneği ile falkon tüplere 50ml çiğ süt örneği alınmıştır. Toplanan kan ve süt örnekleri T. gondii antikorlarının araştırılması amacıyla T. gondii ELISA Test kiti (ID Screen® Toxoplasmosis Indirect Multi-species, ID.Vet, France) kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma ile Niğde yöresinde incelenen toplam 182 koyun kanının 79'unda (%43.4) ve çiğ koyun sütünün 99'unda (%54.3) T. gondii'ye karşı ELISA testi ile antikorlar tespit edilmiştir. Serolojik incelemede, aylar arasında en fazla seropozitiflik kan örneklerinde %60 ile Temmuz ayında, süt örneklerinde ise %74.2 oranı ile Eylül ayında, en düşük seropozitiflik ise Ağustos ayında kan örneklerinde %20 ve süt örneklerinde %22.8 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Niğde yöresi koyunlarında toxoplasmosisin varlığı belirlenmiş hem veteriner hekimliği hem de halk sağlığı yönünden önemli olan T.gondii seroprevalansı kanda %43.4, sütte %54.3 oranında saptanmıştır. Koyunların kan ve süt numunelerinde toxoplasmosis seropozitifliği aylar açısından istatistiksel yönden önemli bulunmuş (p<0.01) ve her iki test sonucu arasında oldukça anlamlı bir korelasyon saptanmıştır (r =0.969). Niğde yöresinde koyun kan ve sütlerinde eş zamanlı yapılan ELISA testi ile T. gondii ilk kez bu çalışma ile tespit edilmiştir.

This survey was carried out to investigate the seroprevalence of anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies in blood and milk of sheep by using ELISA in the Niğde province between April 2023 and September 2023. For this purpose, 10 ml of blood samples were taken into sterile vacuum tubes and 50 ml of raw milk samples were taken into falcon tubes from 182 sheep, aged 1 year and over, in 6 different study sites (Bor, Karaatlı, Kumluca, Aktaş, Bahçeli, Koyunlu). The collected blood and milk samples were analyzed using the T. gondii ELISA Test kit (ID Screen® Toxoplasmosis Indirect Multi-species, ID.Vet, France) in order to investigate T. gondii antibodies. In the study, antibodies against T. gondii were detected in 79 (43.4%) of the 182 sheep blood and 99 (54.3%) of the sheep raw milk examined in the Niğde province by ELISA. In the serological examination, the highest seropositivity among the months was found in July as 60% in blood samples and in September as 74.2% in milk samples, and the lowest seropositivity was detected as 20% in blood samples and as 22.8% in milk samples in August. In conclusion, the presence of toxoplasmosis was determined in sheep in the Niğde province and the seroprevalence of T. gondii, which is important for both veterinary medicine and public health, was detected as 43.4% in blood and 54.3% in milk. Toxoplasmosis seropositivity in sheep blood and milk samples was found to be statistically significant in terms of months (p<0.01), and a highly significant correlation was found between the two test results (r =0.969). This is the first serological study on T. gondii in blood and milk of sheep by using ELISA simultaneously in Niğde province.
