Özet
Bu tez çalışmasıyla Sartre'ın fenomenoloji anlayışı çerçevesinde bilincin doğasına ilişkin geliştirdiği özgün düşüncenin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Sartre'ın özellikle Varlık ve Hiçlik adlı temel eserinde derinlemesine ele aldığı bilinç anlayışı, klasik özne düşüncesine karşıt bir yönelim benimser. Sartre, Husserl'in yönelimsellik kavramını devralarak düşüncesinin merkezine koyar. Ancak bilincin özü itibariyle hiçlik olması düşüncesiyle Husserl'den ayrılır. Sartre'ın bilinç düşüncesi, metafizik özne anlayışının ötesine geçerek, insan varoluşunu kendi kendine verilen bir özden ziyade, kendisini sürekli kuran ve aşan bir yapı olarak kavrar. Bu durumda bilinç, bilişsel bir kapasiteyi temsil etmez, aynı zamanda ontolojik, etik ve özgürlükle iç içe geçmiş bir yapıyı temsil eder. Sartre'ın düşüncesinde bilinç, her zaman dünyaya yönelmiş, kendini aşan bir yapıya sahiptir. Sartre, bu noktada bilinci hiçlik olarak ele alır. Onun düşüncesinde hiçlik, özgürlük ile etik sorumluluğun temelini oluşturur. Bu çalışmada Sartre'ın bilinç düşüncesi, tarihsel bağlamı içerisinde değerlendirilmiştir. Onun bilinç anlayışı Kartezyen özne kuramı, Husserlci fenomenoloji ve Heideggerci varlık düşüncesiyle karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda bilinç düşüncesinin özgürlük sorunuyla iç içe geçtiği de ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır.

This thesis aims to examine Sartre's original thought on the nature of consciousness within the framework of his phenomenological understanding. Sartre's understanding of consciousness, which he particularly examines in depth in his fundamental work Being and Nothingness, adopts an orientation opposed to the classical subject thought. Sartre takes over Husserl's concept of intentionality and places it at the center of his thought. However, he differs from Husserl with the idea that consciousness is essentially nothingness. Sartre's thought of consciousness goes beyond the metaphysical subject concept and conceives human existence as a structure that constantly establishes and surpasses itself, rather than a self-given essence. In this case, consciousness does not represent a cognitive capacity, but also a structure intertwined with ontological, ethical and freedom. In Sartre's thought, consciousness has a structure that is always directed towards the world and surpasses itself. At this point, Sartre considers consciousness as nothingness. In his thought, nothingness forms the basis of freedom and ethical responsibility. In this study, Sartre's thought of consciousness is evaluated within its historical context. His understanding of consciousness is analyzed comparatively with the Cartesian subject theory, Husserlian phenomenology and Heideggerian idea of being. At the same time, it has also been attempted to demonstrate that the concept of consciousness is intertwined with the problem of freedom.
