Özet
Bu tezde, 16–17. yüzyıl Osmanlı ilim hayatında faaliyet gösteren Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi'nin hayatı, ilmî kişiliği ve akâid alanındaki görüşleri incelenmiştir. Müellifin biyografisi, Osmanlı dönemi ilmî ve idarî yapısı çerçevesinde ele alınmış; Bergama, Bursa ve İstanbul'daki görevleri ile ilmî çevresi ortaya konulmuştur. Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi'nin tasavvufî yönü, Halvetiyye tarikatı ve Sünbüliyye kolu ile olan irtibatı bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Tezin ana kaynağını, müellife ait Arapça el yazması eser oluşturmuştur. Müellife ait akâid, hadis ve tefsir alanındaki eserler tespit edilmiş; özellikle Mecmûʿu'l-Akâʾid adlı eserine yine kendisinin yazdığı Nazmu'l-Ferâ'id fî Silkî Mecma'il-Akâ'id adlı yazma eseri esas alınarak itikadî görüşleri analiz edilmiştir. İnceleme sonucunda Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi'nin Ehl-i Sünnet itikadını esas aldığı, klasik akâid geleneğini benimsediği görüşlerini Kur'an, sünnet ve erken dönem kelâm literatürü çerçevesinde temellendirdiği tespit edilmiştir. Eserde iman, tevhid, nübüvvet, kader, ahiret, cennet-cehennem gibi temel itikadî konular ele alınmış; mezhep anlayışı, imamet, hilafet, sahabe gibi konulara yaklaşımı dönemin siyasî ve sosyal şartlarıyla birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan analizlerde, Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi'nin klasik akâid mirasını geç dönem Osmanlı düşüncesine aktaran bir âlim olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma, Osmanlı ilmî literatüründe sınırlı biçimde bilinen Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi'nin ilmî mirasını ortaya koyarak, Osmanlı dönemi akâid düşüncesinin ve sosyo-politik görüşlerinin anlaşılmasına katkı sağlamaktadır.

This thesis examines the life, scholarly identity, and theological views in the field of aqâid of Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi, an Ottoman scholar active in the intellectual milieu of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The author's biography is analyzed within the framework of the Ottoman scholarly and administrative structure, with particular attention to his official duties and intellectual networks in Bergama, Bursa, and Istanbul. Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi's Sufi orientation is also evaluated in relation to his affiliation with the Halvetiyye order and its Sünbüliyye branch. The primary sources of this study consist of Arabic manuscript works preserved in the collections of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Directorate of Manuscripts. The author's works in the fields of aqâid, ḥadîth, and tafsîr have been identified, and his theological views have been analyzed mainly on the basis of his work Mecma'u'l-Aqâ'id and the manuscript Naẓmu'l-Ferâ'id fî Silkî Mecma'i'l-Aqâ'id, which he himself composed as a versified exposition of the former. The analysis demonstrates that Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi adhered to Sunni orthodoxy, embraced the classical aqâid tradition, and grounded his theological positions in the Qur'ân, the Sunnah, and early kalâm literature. The work addresses fundamental theological issues such as faith (imân), divine unity (tawḥîd), prophethood (nubuwwa), predestination (qadar), the afterlife, paradise, and hell. Moreover, his approaches to sectarian affiliation, imamate, caliphate, and the Companions are examined in conjunction with the political and social conditions of his time. The findings indicate that Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi functioned as a scholar who transmitted the classical aqâid heritage into late Ottoman intellectual thought. By elucidating the scholarly legacy of Bergamalı İbrâhim Efendi an Ottoman scholar who has received limited attention in the academic literatüre this study contributes to a deeper understanding of Ottoman theological thought and its socio-political dimensions.
