Özet
Bu tezde, metrik uzaylarda Biricik Orta Nokta Özelliği (BONÖ) sistematik olarak incelenmiş ve özellikle ultrametrik uzaylar ile reel doğrunun alt uzayları bağlamında karakterize edilmiştir. Vural (2025) çalışması temel alınarak, BONÖ sağlayan ultrametrik uzayların yapısının son derece sınırlı olduğu gösterilmiş ve bu uzayların yalnızca tek noktadan ya da üç noktadan oluşabileceği kanıtlanmıştır. Ayrıca, BONÖ'nün topolojik ve metrik özelliklerle ilişkisi tartışılmış, reel doğrunun alt uzaylarında bu özelliğin hangi koşullar altında sağlandığına dair sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir.

In this thesis, the Unique Midpoint Property (UMP) in metric spaces is systematically investigated, with a particular focus on ultrametric spaces and subspaces of the real line. Based on the results of Vural (2025), it is shown that ultrametric spaces satisfying UMP have a highly restricted structure, consisting of either a single point or exactly three points. The relationship between UMP and topological as well as metric properties is analyzed, and conditions under which subspaces of the real line admit UMP are discussed. The study highlights the strong influence of the underlying metric structure on midpoint properties.
