Özet
Bu tezde, Türkçe divanlardaki tarih manzumeleri Osmanlı kültürü ve estetiği bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada söz konusu manzumelerin yalnızca estetik ve teknik bir tür değil, aynı zamanda Osmanlı toplumunun sosyal, kültürel ve siyasi hayatını, dönemsel olayları ve gündelik yaşam pratiklerini yansıtan belge hüviyetinde metinler olduğunun ortaya konması amaçlanmıştır. Tezde, literatürde tek bir şair ya da yüzyıla indirgenen ve ebcedle tarih düşürülen beyitlere odaklanan yaklaşımların ötesine geçilerek tarih manzumelerinin kültür, sanat ve siyasi tarih açısından veri üretme kapasitesi bütüncül bir çerçevede analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma, 15.-19. yüzyıllar arasını kapsayan 761 Türkçe divanın taranmasına dayanmaktadır. Veriler matbu ve dijital arşivlerden temin edilen latinize divanlardan derlenmiştir. Çalışmada manzumeler yüzyıl ve şair temelinde tasnif edilmiş ve tematik analiz yöntemi ile tespit edilen tematik kategoriler (cülus ve tayinler, fetihler, vefat ve doğumlar, törenler, imar faaliyetleri ve bina tarihleri, gemi inşası, sosyal ritüeller ve gündelik yaşam pratikleri) değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma giriş ve iki bölümde oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde problem, amaç, önem, kapsam, sınırlılıklar ve veri toplama süreci; birinci bölümde tarih manzumelerinin tarihsel gelişimi, yazılış amaçları, yapısal özellikleri ve konu kategorilerinin istatistiksel dağılımı; ikinci bölümde ise yukarıda belirtilen tematik kategoriler ayrıntılı içerik çözümlemesi ele alınmıştır. Bulgular, tarih manzumelerinin olay kaydı tutmanın ötesinde dönemin estetik beğenisini, iktidar tasavvurunu ve gündelik hayat pratiklerini görünür kıldığını; padişah meşruiyetini pekiştiren siyasi söylemlerden imar faaliyetlerini kutsiyetle ilişkilendiren vakıf kültürüne uzanan geniş bir zihniyet yelpazesini yansıttığını göstermektedir. Şairlerin tasannu eksenli poetikalarının metafizik güzellik anlayışıyla bütünleşerek toplumsal hafızayı estetik bir temsil biçimine dönüştürdüğü sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca çalışma edebiyat ile tarih disiplinleri arasındaki iş birliğinin gerekliliğini vurgulamakta ve divan şiirinin yorumlanmasına disiplinler arası bir çerçeve önermektedir.

In this dissertation, historical poems (tarih manzumeleri) found in Turkish diwans are examined within the context of Ottoman culture and aesthetics. The study aims to demonstrate that these poems are not only an aesthetic and technical literary form but also texts that function as documents reflecting the social, cultural, and political life of the Ottoman society, contemporaneous events, and everyday practices. Going beyond approaches in the literature which confine the subject to a single poet or century and focus predominantly on chronogrammatic couplets composed through the abjad system, the dissertation analyzes the capacity of historical poems to generate data on cultural, artistic, and political history within a holistic framework. The research is based on the examination of 761 Turkish diwans dated between the 15th and 19th centuries. The data were compiled from Latinized diwans obtained from printed and digital archives. In the study, the poems were classified according to century and poet, and the thematic categories identified through thematic analysis (accession and appointments, conquests, deaths and births, ceremonies, construction activities and building dates, shipbuilding, social rituals and everyday practices) were evaluated. The dissertation consists of an introduction and two chapters. The introduction presents the problem, purpose, significance, scope, limitations, and data collection process; the first chapter discusses the historical development, purposes of composition, structural features of historical poems, and the statistical distribution of subject categories; and the second chapter offers a detailed content analysis of the thematic categories mentioned above. The findings show that historical poems, beyond recording events, make visible the aesthetic taste of the period, the conception of power, and everyday life practices; and that they reflect a wide mental spectrum ranging from political discourses reinforcing the legitimacy of the sultan to the culture of charitable endowments (waqf), which associated construction activities with sanctity. It is concluded that poets' poetics, centered on tasannu (artifice/ornamentation), integrated with a metaphysical understanding of beauty, transformed social memory into an aesthetic mode of representation. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the necessity of cooperation between literature and history disciplines and proposes an interdisciplinary framework for the interpretation of divan poetry.
