Özet
Modern dijital dönüşüm süreciyle birlikte sosyal onay ihtiyacı, beliren yetişkinlerin dünyasında yadsınamaz bir öneme ulaşmıştır. Bu bağlamda mükemmeliyetçilik, bireyin yüksek standartlara ulaşma ve kendini denetleme çabasını yoğunlaştırarak, sosyal onay ihtiyacını derinleştiren önemli bir rol üstlenmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, beliren yetişkinlerde sosyal onay ihtiyacı ile belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük arasındaki ilişkide mükemmeliyetçiliğin düzenleyici rolünü incelemektedir. Bu kapsamda mükemmeliyetçilik, uyumlu ve uyumsuz mükemmeliyetçilik boyutları çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen, beliren yetişkinlik dönemindeki 18-25 yaş aralığında yer alan 294'ü (%73.5) kadın, 106'sı (%26.5) erkek toplam 400 katılımcıdan oluşmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında katılımcılara Sosyodemografik Bilgi Formu, Sosyal Onay İhtiyacı Ölçeği, Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük (BTÖ-12) Ölçeği ve APS-R Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizleri SPSS 25.0 ve PROCESS 4.2 makrosu kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Pearson Korelasyon, Bağımsız Örneklem t Testi analizleri kullanılmış; düzenleyici değişken analizi Process makrosu ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları, sosyal onay ihtiyacı ile belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük arasında orta düzeyde pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Sosyal onay ihtiyacı ile mükemmeliyetçilik genel puanı arasında düşük düzeyde pozitif yönlü bir ilişki saptanırken, alt boyutlar doğrultusunda sosyal onay ihtiyacının uyumlu mükemmeliyetçilik ile düşük, uyumsuz mükemmeliyetçilik ile orta düzeyde pozitif yönlü bir ilişki sergilediği belirlenmiştir. Diğer taraftan, belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük ile mükemmeliyetçilik genel puanı ve kavramın alt boyutları olan uyumlu ve uyumsuz mükemmeliyetçilik arasında orta düzeyde pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Mükemmeliyetçiliğin hem uyumlu hem de uyumsuz alt boyutlarıyla ise yüksek düzeyde pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki içerisinde olduğu bulunmuştur. Son olarak, uyumlu mükemmeliyetçilik ile uyumsuz mükemmeliyetçilik alt boyutları arasında orta düzeyde pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmektedir. Araştırmanın hipotezleri kapsamında, sosyal onay ihtiyacı ile belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük arasındaki ilişkide mükemmeliyetçiliğin ve alt boyutlarının düzenleyici rolleri test edilmiş; ancak etkileşim terimlerinin bu ilişki üzerinde istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir değişim yaratmadığı saptanmıştır. Sonuçlar, beliren yetişkinlik dönemindeki bireylerin klinik müdahale ve uygulamalarda bilişsel ve sosyal örüntülerin bütüncül bir perspektifle ele alınmasının önemine işaret etmektedir. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgular, literatürle paralel biçimde tartışılmış ve bu veriler ışığında ileride yürütülecek çalışmalara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

With the modern digital transformation process, the need for social approval has gained undeniable importance in the world of emerging adults. In this context, perfectionism plays a significant role in deepening the need for social approval by intensifying an individual's efforts to achieve high standards and self-regulate. The aim of this study is to examine the moderating role of perfectionism in the relationship between the need for social approval and intolerance of uncertainty in emerging adults. In this context, perfectionism is analyzed within the framework of adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism dimensions. The study sample consisted of 400 participants aged 18-25 in emerging adulthood, selected using convenience sampling; 294 (73.5%) were women and 106 (26.5%) were men. As part of the research, participants were administered the Sociodemographic Information Form, the Need for Social Approval Scale, the Intolerance of Uncertainty (IU-12) Scale, and the APS-R Perfectionism Scale. Statistical analyses of the obtained data were performed using SPSS 25.0 and the PROCESS 4.2 macro. Pearson correlation and independent samples t-test analyses were used in the analysis of the data; moderating variable analysis was performed with the Process macro. The study results revealed a moderate, positive, and significant correlation between the need for social approval and intolerance of uncertainty. A low-level, positive correlation was found between the need for social approval and the overall perfectionism score, while in terms of sub-dimensions, the need for social approval showed a low-level, positive correlation with conformist perfectionism and a moderate-level, positive correlation with maladaptive perfectionism. On the other hand, moderate, positive, and significant correlations were found between intolerance of uncertainty and the overall perfectionism score and its sub-dimensions, adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism. Perfectionism was also found to have a high, positive, and significant correlation with both its adaptive and maladaptive sub-dimensions. Finally, a moderate, positive, and significant correlation was found between the sub-dimensions of adaptive perfectionism and maladaptive perfectionism. Within the scope of the study's hypotheses, the moderating roles of perfectionism and its sub-dimensions in the relationship between the need for social approval and intolerance of uncertainty were tested; however, it was determined that the interaction terms did not create a statistically significant change in this relationship. The results highlight the importance of addressing cognitive and social patterns holistically in clinical interventions and practices for individuals in emerging adulthood. The findings obtained in the study were discussed in parallel with the literature and suggestions for future studies were made considering this data.
