Özet
On dokuzuncu yüzyılda bağımsız bir disiplin olarak ortaya çıkmadan evvel, sosyolojinin öncü fikirleri toplumsal felsefecilerin düşünceleri içerisinde yer almaktaydı. Topluma ve toplumsal olana bakışı sosyolojinin devralmasıyla, araştırma nesnesi olan insan, bir taraftan doğal dünyanın bir parçası olarak ele alınırken bir taraftan da toplumsal dünyanın yaratıcısı ilan edilmiştir. Toplumsal gerçekliğin çok boyutluluğu ve bundan kaynaklanan bir zorunluluk olarak ortaya çıkan zengin kuramsal perspektifler sosyolojiye bazı avantajlar sağlamakta ama aynı zamanda onu sınırlamaktadır. Bu avantajlar ve sınırlılıkların neredeyse tamamını insanın ve toplumun doğasına dair temel kabuller ve tartışmalar etrafında değerlendirmek mümkündür. Bu zeminde yapılacak araştırmaların sosyolojinin yaşayageldiği söylenen ontolojik ve epistemolojik krizi aşmasında da katkı sağlayacağı açıktır. Toplumun kuruluşu ve insan doğasına yönelik kabuller, bir disiplinin hem kuramsal yapısını hem de içerisinde 'çalışılacak' paradigmayı belirlemektedir. Bu çalışmada, Cornelius Castoriadis'in toplumsal tahayyül fikrinde somutlaşan insan anlayışı ve Giorgio Agamben'in bedeni üzerinden siyasetin konusu kılınan insana dair görüşleri etrafında toplumun kuruluşuna dair bir perspektif sunulmaya çalışılmıştır.

Before sociology emerged as an autonomous discipline in the nineteenth century, its foundational ideas were embedded within the intellectual frameworks of social philosophers. With the transfer of the analysis of society and the social to sociology, the human being as the object of inquiry came to be conceived, on the one hand, as part of the natural world and, on the other, as the creator of the social world. The multidimensional character of social reality and the rich theoretical perspectives that emerged as a necessity from this complexity have provided sociology with certain advantages while simultaneously imposing limitations upon it. Nearly all of these advantages and limitations can be evaluated around fundamental assumptions and debates concerning human nature and the constitution of society. It is evident that research conducted on this basis can contribute to overcoming the ontological and epistemological crises that sociology is often said to experience. Assumptions regarding the constitution of society and human nature determine both the theoretical structure of a discipline and the paradigms within which inquiry is conducted. In this study, a perspective on the constitution of society is developed through an examination of Cornelius Castoriadis's understanding of the human being as articulated through imagination and the social imaginary, and Giorgio Agamben's analysis of the human being as rendered a political object through the body.
