Özet
Bu çalışma, hicri üçüncü asırda Hâris el-Muhâsibî tarafından kaleme alınan er-Ri'âye adlı eseri tasavvuf ahlâkı ve esasları bakımından incelemektedir. Eserin yazıldığı dönemde tasavvufun henüz bir disiplin olarak teşekkül sürecinin başlangıcında olması esere kurucu metin olma niteliği kazandırmaktadır. er-Ri'âye adlı eser muhteva bakımından dönemin sınırlı kaynakları arasında ahlâka dair sistemli bir metin olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Bu yönüyle er-Ri'âye tasavvuf ahlâkı ve esaslarının şekillenmesinde önemli bir etkiye sahiptir. Eserin hem bireysel hem de toplumsal açıdan mutedil bir ahlâk anlayışı içermesi, metni Sünnî tasavvuf ahlâkı ve esasları bağlamında değerlendirmeyi gerekli kılmaktadır. Çalışmanın temel amacı tasavvufun bir disiplin olarak henüz teşekkül sürecinin başlangıcında olmasına rağmen Hâris el-Muhâsibî'nin insanın tabiatına ve topluma yönelik analizleriyle er-Ri'âye'nin muhtevasında yer alan tasavvuf ahlâkı ve esaslarını tespit etmek ve eserin tasavvufa dair kurucu metin olma niteliğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu gâye ile eser detaylı bir tahlile tabi tutulmuş, birinci bölümde Muhâsibî'nin hayatı ve eserlerine dair kısa bir bilgi verildikten sonra onun nefis ile ilgili analizlerine kapsamlı bir şekilde yer verilmiş, bilgi ve ahlâk birlikteliğine bakış açısı ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde ise eser muhteva bakımından incelenerek tasavvuf ahlâkının esasları tespit edilmiş ve temel kavramlar üzerinden açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen tespitler ve yapılan yorumlar er-Ri'âye'nin bir ahlâk kitabı olma niteliğini öne çıkarırken eserin tasavvuf tarihindeki önemini ve kurucu rolünü yeniden gözden geçirmeyi önermektedir. Dolayısıyla“er-Ri'âye Bağlamında Sûfî Ahlâkının Temel Unsurları”başlıklı bu yüksek lisans tezi sadece mevcut literatüre katkı sağlamakla kalmayıp ileride yapılacak benzeri çalışmalara da zemin hazırlamayı amaçlamaktadır.

This study examines the work al-Riʿāya li-ḥuqūq Allāh, written in the third/ninth century by al-Ḥārith al-Muḥāsibī, in terms of Sufi ethics and its foundational principles. Since Sufism had not yet fully developed into a distinct discipline at the time the work was composed and was still in the early stages of its formation, the text acquires the character of a foundational source. Among the limited number of sources from its period, al-Riʿāya li-ḥuqūq Allāh stands out as a systematic treatment of ethical thought. In this respect, it exerted a significant influence on the shaping of Sufi moral teachings and principles. The fact that the work presents a balanced understanding of morality in both individual and social dimensions necessitates its evaluation within the framework of Sunnī Sufi ethics and doctrines. The primary aim of this study is to identify the ethical and doctrinal elements of Sufism contained in the work through al-Muḥāsibī's analyses of human nature and society, despite Sufism still being at the beginning of its disciplinary formation, and to demonstrate the text's qualification as a foundational source for Sufism. To this end, the work has been subjected to a detailed analysis. In the first chapter, after providing brief information about al-Muḥāsibī's life and writings, his analyses of the self are discussed comprehensively, and his perspective on the unity of knowledge and morality is examined. In the second chapter, the text is analyzed in terms of its content, the principles of Sufi ethics are identified, and these are explained through key concepts. The findings and interpretations presented in this study highlight the work's character as a book of ethics while also proposing a reconsideration of its significance and formative role in the history of Sufism. Therefore, this master's thesis entitled“The Fundamental Elements of Sufi Ethics in the Context of al-Riʿāya”aims not only to contribute to the existing literature but also to provide a foundation for future studies on the subject.
