Özet
Bu araştırmada kolorektal kansere bağlı kolostomisi olan bireylerin travma sonrası büyümeye yönelik deneyimlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tanımlayıcı nitel desendeki çalışmanın evrenini, stoma ve yara bakım malzemeleri satışı yapan üç firmaya stoma ürünleri almak için gelen kolostomisi bulunan bireyler oluşturmuştur. Örneklem, ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak; dahil etme ve dışlama kriterlerine uyan 20 katılımcıdan oluşmuştur. Veri toplamada araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan ''Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu'' ve ''Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu'' kullanılmıştır. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yöntemiyle yüz yüze/ çevrimiçi olarak toplanmıştır. Görüşmelerin tamamlanmasının ardından ses kayıtları dinlenerek yazılı hale getirilmiş ve tümevarımsal içerik analizi yöntemiyle 4 tema ve 10 alt tema belirlenmiştir. ''Sarsılma Noktaları'' temasının alt temalarını ''Kayıp'' ve ''Bilinmeyen''; ''Büyümeyi Kolaylaştıran Dinamikler'' temasının alt temalarını ''Destek Sistemleri'', ''Uyum Stratejileri'', ''İçsel Kaynaklar''; ''Büyüme Deneyimleri'' temasının alt temalarını ''Benliğin Yeniden Çerçevelendirilmesi'' ve ''Değerlerin Yeniden İnşası'' ve son olarak ''Yaşantıdan Beslenen Öneriler'' temasının alt temalarını ''Bireye Yönelik'', ''Çevreye Yönelik'', ''Hizmetlere Yönelik'' alt temaları oluşturmuştur. Katılımcılar kanseri ve kolostomiyi sarsıcı bir yaşantı olarak deneyimlemiş; sosyal destek, baş etme biçimleri ve içsel kaynaklar büyüme deneyimlerine zemin hazırlamış ve Travma sonrası büyümeyi kişiler arası ilişkiler, yaşamın değerini anlama, manevi dönüşüm gibi biçimlerde deneyimlemişlerdir. Katılımcıların büyüme deneyimleri olarak ortaya koyduğu unsurların, Konsültasyon Liyezon Psikiyatri hemşireleri tarafından kolorektal kansere bağlı kolostomisi olan bireylerin bu deneyimden büyüyerek çıkmaları için geliştirilebilecek danışmanlık faaliyetlerinde müdahale programı içeriklerinin geliştirilmesi için bileşen olarak dikkate alınması ve sonuçların deneysel çalışmalarla test edilmesi önerilmektedir.

This study aimed to explore the experiences of post-traumatic growth among individuals living with a colostomy associated with colorectal cancer. The study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative design. The study population consisted of individuals with a colostomy who visited three firms selling stoma and wound care products to purchase stoma supplies. Using criterion sampling, the sample comprised 20 participants who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected using a“Descriptive Information Form”and a“Semi-Structured Interview Form”developed by the researchers. Semi- structured interviews were conducted either face-to-face or online. Following completion of the interviews, the audio recordings were transcribed verbatim and analyzed using inductive content analysis, resulting in four themes and ten subthemes. The subthemes of ''Shattering Experiences'' were ''Loss'' and ''The Unknown''; the subthemes of ''Dynamics Facilitating Growth'' were ''Support Systems'', ''Adaptation Strategies'', and ''Inner Resources''; the subthemes of ''Growth Experiences'' were ''Reframing the Self'' and ''Reconstruction of Values''; and the subthemes of ''Recommendations Informed by Experience'' were ''Individual Oriented'', ''Social Environment-Oriented'', and ''Service- Oriented''. Participants experienced cancer and colostomy as shattering experiences; social support, coping strategies, and inner resources provided a foundation for growth, while post-traumatic growth was experienced through changes such as enhanced interpersonal relationships, a greater appreciation of life, and spiritual transformation. It is recommended that the elements identified by participants as reflecting their growth experiences be considered by consultation-liaison psychiatric nurses as components in the development of counseling and intervention programs aimed at supporting individuals with a colostomy due to colorectal cancer in achieving growth through this experience, and that the effectiveness of these interventions be tested in experimental studies.
