Özet
Bu çalışmada, 'iktidar' kavramının analizinin tarihsel süreçte geçirdiği dönüşüme odaklanılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, Michel Foucault ve Byung-Chul Han'ın iktidar analizleri çerçevesinde özne-iktidar ilişkisinin modern disiplin toplumundan çağdaş performans toplumuna uzanan dönüşümü incelenmektedir. Neoliberal iktidarın 'sınırsız özgürlük' vaadinin performans toplumunun öznesi için bir kurtuluş yolu olmaktan çıkarak, iktidarın toplum üzerindeki en etkili yönetim aygıtlarından biri hâline gelip gelmediği sorusu Han'ın performans toplumu analizi ışığında tartışmaya açılmıştır. Michel Foucault'nun 'disiplin toplumu' analizindeki iktidar pratiklerini, öznenin bedenini itaatkâr, üretken ve tabi kılmaya yönelik bir toplumsal düzenleme aracılığıyla biçimlenen bir iktidar teknolojisi olarak ele almaktadır. Foucault'nun söz konusu analizi, eldeki çalışmada Han'ın performans toplumu teşhisine uzanan süreçte tarihsel ve kuramsal bir zemin oluşturmaktadır. Byung-Chul Han'ın performans toplumu çözümlemesi, özellikle disiplin toplumundaki dışsal baskı aygıtlarının biçim değiştirip toplumun öznesinin kendini yönettiği içselleştirilmiş bir iktidar biçimine geçişini ortaya koymakta; bu geçişin performans toplumu ve performans öznesi üzerindeki etkilerini 'Şeffaflık Toplumu', 'Palyatif Toplum', 'Yorgunluk Toplumu' gibi eserlerinde anlattığı mikro çalışmalardan oluşturmaktadır. Eldeki çalışma, bilhassa Han'ın analizine odaklanarak, onun eserinde karşımıza çıkan performans toplumu ve performans öznesinin, neoliberal iktidar ile özne ilişkisi içinde özgürlüğün nasıl dönüştüğünü göstermekte ve bununla birlikte bu toplum ve iktidar tasarımının kimi eleştiriye açık hususlarına dikkat çekmeyi denemektedir.

This study focuses on the historical transformation of the concept of 'power' has undergone. In this context, within the framework of Michel Foucault's and ByungChul Han's analyses of power, the transformation of the subject-power relationship extending from the modern disciplinary society to the contemporary performance society is examined. The question of whether the neoliberal promise of 'unlimited freedom' ceases to be a path to liberation for the subject of the performance society and instead becomes one of the most effective instruments of governance for the power structure over society is discussed in light of Han's analysis of the performance society. Michel Foucault's analysis of the 'disciplinary society' views power practices as a technology of power shaped through a social order aimed at making the subject's body obedient, productive, and subservient. Foucault's analysis provides a historical and theoretical foundation for Han's diagnosis of the performance society in this study. Byung-Chul Han's analysis of performance society reveals how external instruments of oppression in disciplinary society transform into an internalized form of power in which the subject of society governs itself; he constructs the effects of this transition on performance society and the performance subject through micro-studies in works such as 'Transparency Society', 'Palliative Society', and 'The Burnout Society'. This study, focusing particularly on Han's analysis, demonstrates how the performance society and the performance subject, as encountered in its work, transform freedom within the context of the relationship between neoliberal power and the subject, and also attempts to draw attention to some aspects of this design of society and power that are open to criticism.
