Özet

Okul öncesi dönemde müze kullanımı, gelişim alanlarını destekleyici öğrenme deneyimi sunmaktadır. Müzelerin sunduğu zengin öğrenme alanın hayata geçirilmesi çocuklara rehberlik sunan öğretmenlere bağlıdır. Bu doğrultuda, geleceğin eğitimcileri olan okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının müze eğitimine yönelik bilgi, beceri ve farkındalık kazanmaları önemlidir. Bu çalışma karma araştırma modeliyle tasarlanmıştır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının müze eğitimine ilişkin ihtiyaçlarını belirlemek amacıyla nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yararlanılmış ve hazırlanan ihtiyaç belirleme formu ile veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarına yönelik“Müze Eğitimi Programı”geliştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada ön test son test kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Geliştirilen programının pilot uygulamasına farklı alanlarda öğrenim gören 4 lisans ve lisansüstü öğrencisi katılırken; programın deney ve kontrol grubunu 34 Trakya Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Temel Eğitim Bölümü Okul Öncesi Öğretmen adayları oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada kullanılan veri toplama araçları“Katılımcı Bilgi Formu”,“İhtiyaç Analizi Formu”,“Müze Eğitimine Yönelik Özyeterlilik İnancı Ölçeği”ve“Program Değerlendirme Formu”dur. Nicel verilerin analizi istatistik program aracılığıyla çözümlenmiştir. Nitel verilerde ise betimsel analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Tasarlanan programın etikliğinin ölçülmesi adına nicel yöntem benimsenmiş ve“Müze Eğitimine Yönelik Özyeterlilik İnancı Ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmada yer alan deney grubunun tamamına programa ilişkin görüşlerinin derinlemesine incelemek amacıyla“Program Değerlendirme Formu”kullanılmıştır. Geliştirilen müze eğitim programının, okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının müze eğitimine yönelik öz yeterlilik inançları üzerinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Deney grubu ile kontrol grubu ön testleri arasında anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmemişken; deney grubu ile kontrol grubu son testleri arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Deney grubu öz yeterlilik son test ve izleme puanları ile deney grubu ön test puanları arsında son test ve izleme lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Kontrol grubu ön test ve son test puanları arasında son test lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Sınıf değişkeni açısından; deney grubundaki 3. sınıflar lehine anlamlı bir farklılık bulunurken, kontrol grubunda sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Cinsiyet değişkeni incelendiğinde ise; deney grubunda kadınlar lehine anlamlı düzeyde farklılık bulunurken, kontrol grubunda cinsiyete bağlı anlamlı bir farklılık belirlenmemiştir. Program değerlendirme formu aracılığıyla katılımcıların programa ilişkin görüşleri de alınmış ve programın faydalı olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular ilgili literatür kapsamında tartışılmış, okul öncesi öğretmen ve öğretmen adaylarına, ilgili kurum ve kuruluşlara ve araştırmacılara yönelik önerilere yer verilmiştir.

The use of museums in preschool education offers a learning experience that supports developmental areas. The realization of the rich learning environment offered by museums depends on the teachers who guide children. In this regard, it is important for preservice preschool teachers, who are the educators of the future, to gain knowledge, skills, and awareness regarding museum education. This study was designed using a mixed research model. In the first part of the study, qualitative research methods were used to determine the needs of preservice preschool teachers regarding museum education, and data were collected using a prepared needs assessment form. Based on the data, Museum Education Program was developed for preservice preschool teachers. Pre-test post-test control group experimental design was used in this study. Four undergraduate and graduate students from different fields participated in the pilot application of the developed program; the experimental and control groups of the program consisted of 34 preservice preschool teachers from the Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Education, Trakya University. The data collection tools used in the study were the“Participant Information Form”,“Needs Analysis Form”,“Self-Efficacy Belief Scale Towards Museum Education”, and“Program Evaluation Form”. Quantitative data were analyzed using statistical software. Descriptive analysis was used for qualitative data. To measure the ethics of the designed program, a quantitative method was adopted, and the“Self-Efficacy Belief Scale Towards Museum Education”was used. Additionally, the“Program Evaluation Form”was used to examine the opinions of all participants in the experimental group regarding the program in depth. The developed museum education program was found to be effective on the self-efficacy beliefs of preservice preschool teachers regarding museum education. While no significant difference was found between the pre-tests of the experimental and control groups, a significant difference was found between the post-tests of the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. A significant difference was also found between the post-test and follow-up self-efficacy scores of the experimental group and the pre-test scores of the control group, in favor of the post-test and follow-up scores. A significant difference was found between the pre-test and post-test scores of the control group, favoring the post-test. Regarding the class variable, a significant difference was found in favor of 3rd-grade students in the experimental group, while no significant difference was found in the control group based on class level. When the gender variable was examined, a significant difference was found in favor of women in the experimental group, while no significant difference was determined based on gender in the control group. Participants' opinions on the program were also obtained through a program evaluation form, and the usefulness of the program was emphasized. The findings were discussed within the context of the relevant literature, and recommendations were made for preschool teachers and preservice teachers, relevant institutions and organizations, and researchers.
