Özet

ÖZET Bu tez çalışmasında, Toplam Kalite Yönetiminin (TKY) tanımı ve TKY sisteminin kurulması, Genel İşletme Performansı (GİP) ve Türkiye imalat sektöründeki işletmelerde uygulanan TKY uygulamaları incelenmiştir. Tezin amacı kritik TKY ve GİP öğelerinin belirlenmesi, TKY uygulamalarının Türkiye imalat sektöründeki işletmelerin performansı üzerine etkilerini araştırmaktır. Bu amaç için bir model önerilmiş, model doğrultusunda bir anket hazırlanmış ve üretici firmalardaki kalite yöneticilerine uygulanmıştır. Kullanılan veriler 270 ISO belgeli üretim firmalarından toplanmıştır. Geliştirilen modelde 10 TKY, 4 GİP öğesi bulunmaktadır. Model değişkenleri arasındaki ilişkileri analiz etmek için Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli (YEM) kullanılmıştır. YEM analizlerinden sonra çıkan sonuçlar raporlanmıştır. Analiz sonuçlan; TKY uygulamalarının, üretim firmalarının performansı üzerine pozitif etkilerinin olduğunu göstermiştir. ABSTRACT In this dissertation, definition of the Total Quality Management (TQM), the implementation of the TQM system, General Business Performance (GBP) and TQM practices in the Turkish manufacturing companies are explored. The aim of the thesis is to determine the critical factors of TQM and GBP, to investigate the effects of TQM practices on the performance of the Turkish manufacturing companies. For this aim, a model was proposed, in the direction of model a survey was prepared and applied to quality managers in the manufacturing companies. Using data collected from a sample of 270 ISO certified companies. In the improved model, there are 10 TQM and 4 GBP factors. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the relationships between these variables in the model. After the SEM analysis, the results were reported. The results of the analysis show that TQM practices have positive effects on the performance of the manufacturing companies. m
