ÖZET Yüksek Lisans Tezi İLKÖĞRETİM 5. SINIF ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN HAREKET VE KUVVETLE İLGİLİ KAVRAM YANILGILARI Aysel CANDAN Sınıf Öğretmenliği Ana Bilim Dalı Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Haziran 2003, 1 12 sayfa Danışman : Yard. Doç. Dr. Lütfullah TÜRKMEN Bu Çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim fen bilgisi dersindeki kuvvet ve hareket konusundaki ilk öğretim 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin sahip oldukları kavram yanılgılarını tanımlamak ve bu konudaki kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesinde geleneksel öğretim metodu ile kavram haritalarının etkisinin karşılaştırmaktır. Bu çalışma bahar 2002 döneminde bir ilköğretim okulunun iki farklı 5. sınıf okuyan 50 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kavram haritası ile öğretim metodu; deney grubuna, geleneksel öğretim metodu ise kontrol grubuna uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışma yaklaşık 6 hafta sürmüş ve konu ile ilgili başarı testi başarı durumlarını karşılaştırmak amacıyla her iki gruba ön test ve son test olarak verilmiştir. Verilerin analiz edilmesiyle; ilköğretim 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin kuvvet ve hareket konulan ile ilgili kavram yanılgılarının olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kavram haritalarıyla kuvvet ve hareket konusunun öğrencilerin aynı konuyu geleneksel öğretim metoduyla öğrenen öğrencilere göre başarıları istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir şekilde fazla çıkmıştır. ABSTRACT Master's Thesis 5 lh GRADE PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENT'S MISCONCEPTIONS RELATED TO FORCE AND MOTION By AYSEL CANDAN Elemantary Education Graduate Prosrom Afyon Kocatepe University, The Institute of Social Sciences June, 2003, 112 page Advisor : Asst. Yard.Doç.Dr. Lütfullah TÜRKMEN, The purpose of this study was to reveal misconcepts held by 5th grade primary school students in the unit of force and motion and to compare the effects of traditional teaching methods and concept maps in the decreasing of the level of misconcepts in the same unit. Concept maps and traditional teaching methods were applied to the experimental and control groups, respectively. The study approximately took six weeks. At the beginning, pro-test was given to both groups. After the application, the same test as a post - test given to the experimental and control groups. With the analyzing of data, 5th grade primary school stadents held misconcepts in the unit of force and motion. In the result, there were statistically differences between the results of post - test achievement test scores of experimental and control groups as well as the result of post test scores of the experimental group was statistially higher than that of control group (P<0,05).
