Özet
Özet Bu Tez çalışmasının konusu, Nietzsche müzik kuramındaki öğelerin, kültürel bir kurtarıcılık rolü oynayıp oynayamayacağım ele almak olacaktır. Müziğin, Dionysos ve Apollon mitlerindeki yansımasının, daha sonraki müzikte ve müzik felsefesinde nasıl bir değişim geçerdiğini, ilerlediğini ve Wagner' de nasıl bir değişim geçirdiğini ele almak, bu incelemenin temelini oluşturacaktır. Nietzsche 'ye göre kültür çöküş içerisindedir, ve bu kültürel çöküşten bizi ancak, sanat, müzik sanatı kurtarabilir. Bu müzik sanatı da Yunan dünyasında yansımaları görülen Dionysosçu tragedyatik temelden gelen müziktir. Müzik, Nietzsche'ye göre, kendinde gerçekliğin bir yansımasıdır. Diğer sanatlar gölgelerden bahsederken, müzik gerçekliği doğrudan verir. Bu yönü ile müzik sanatı, Decadence'e karşı koyabilmektedir. Bu, onun kaynağım, bu dünya olgularından farklı bir ontolojik zemine indirgemektir. Bu müziği yapan biricik kişi de Nietzsche'ye göre“R.Wagner”dir. Wagner, bu müziğiyle, yok olan Yunan mitini tekrar canlandırmaktadır. Wagner adı bir kurtarıcı olarak kabul edilir. Ancak Wagner gerçekten de bir kurtarıcı mıdır ? Nihilist süreçten kurtuluş için Nietzsche'nin, bir müzik kuramı geliştirdiğini ve felsefeyi, sanata dönüştürerek, müziğe anti-Nihilistik bir görev yüklemekte olduğunu, fakat müziğin de Nihilist öğeler içerdiğini ve Nietzsche'nin, Wagner konusunda yanıldığını ele almak bu Tezin konusunu oluşturacaktır. 149

Summary The aim of this thesis is to examine the role of music which is claimed by Nietzsche to have a culture-saving role. Moreover, I want to show how Nietzsche was effected by Wagner and what social, philosophical and aesthetical implications the music -as a kind of art- had. During the 19th century, a strong nihilistic tendency was predominating all over the European culture and this situation might be seen as an inevitable result in the face of the meaninglessness and absurdity of existence. The question, then, is whether we can save ourselves from such a pessimistic existential condition. In other words, do we have an alternative to nihilism? For Nietzsche, ancient Greeks knew how to way out and they found the solution in art and especially in the music based tragedy. Greeks, instead of denying life, affirmed it and their affirmation was through their art. Nietzsche says that“art saves and through art, life.”In this sentence can be seen the importance attributed to art by Nietzsche. But Wagnerian music, in spite of what significance Nietzsche attributed to as a life saving activity, could never have such a role. Nietzsche therefore can be said to misunderstood the character of music by giving it an anti-nihilistic role. 150
