Özet

ÖZET Bu araştırmanın amacı; çoktan seçmeli sayısal yetenek testi ve sözel yetenek testlerinin geleneksel kağıt-kalem yöntemi ile ve bilgisayarda online uygulanması sonucu elde edilen puanlardan hesaplanan psikometrik özelliklerinin karşılaştırılmasıdır. Temel araştırma niteliğindeki bu çalışma; Ankara Emek 100. Yıl Anadolu Meslek ve Meslek Lisesi'nde 8. ve 9. sınıflarda öğrenim gören 52 kişilik bir grup üzerinde yapılmıştır. Ölçme aracı olarak; sayısal yetenek testinin konusu sayısal akıl yürütme ve sözel yetenek testinin konusu kelime bilgisi ile okuduğunu anlama olarak belirlenerek iki test formu geliştirilmiştir. Sayısal yetenek testi için geliştirilen 60 test maddesi; uzman görüşleri ve deneme uygulaması sonucu 32, sözel yetenek testi için geliştirilen 55 test maddesi ise 31 maddeye indirgenerek nihai test formları oluşturulmuştur. Her iki testin bilgisayarda online uygulanması bir web sitesi ile işbirliği içerisinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri analizinde; SPSS ve MS Office Excel bilgisayar programları kullanılmıştır. Uygulamalar sonucunda hesaplanan madde güçlük indeksleri, madde ayırıcılık gücü indeksleri, test puanı ortalamaları ve KR-20 güvenirlik katsayıları arasındaki farkın önemli olup olmadığını test etmek için hipotez testleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan araştırmada sonuç olarak; sayısal yetenek testinin, kağıt-kalem yöntemi ile ve online uygulanmasından elde edilen madde güçlük indeksleri ve madde ayırıcılık gücü indeksleri arasında farklılık olduğu; sözel yetenek testinin de kağıt-kalem yöntemi ile ve online uygulanmasından elde edilen madde güçlük indeksleri ve madde ayırıcılık gücü indeksleri arasında farklılık olduğu görülmüştür. Yine sayısal yetenek ve sözel yetenek testinin her iki yöntemle uygulanması ile elde edilen testlerin aritmetik ortalamaları arasında da farklılık söz konusudur. Bunun11 yanında testlere ilişkin KR-20 güvenirlik katsayıları arasında farklılık olmadığı bulunmuştur.

Ill SUMMARY The purpose of this study is to compare the psychometric properties that obtained from the measurement of numerical abilities and verbal abilities with multiple choise test through paper-pencil test and online application on the computer. The subjects of the present study composed of 52 Emek 100. Yıl Anatolian Profession and Profession High School students at Ankara. A numerical ability test, measuring the abilities of students in finding numerical intelligence enforcement and also a verbal ability test, measuring the abilities of students in finding word knowledge and reading-understanding are developed. After expert opinions and trial practise, the numerical test is composed of 32 items and the verbal test is composed of 31 items. Online application is realised with a web site. Hypothesis tests were used to find out the significance of differences between the KR-20 reliability coefficients, average scores, item discriminiation power indexes and item difficulty indexes. SPSS and MS Office Excel computer programs are used for data analysis. The results of the present study indicated that there is a difference between the item difficulty indexes that was obtained through the application of the numerical abilities and verbal abilities tests on paper-pencil and online practice. Results also indicated that there is a difference between item discrimination power indexes that was obtained from the application of the numerical abilities and the verbal abilities tests in two different methods. In addition, the study indicated that there is a difference between average scores obtained in two different methods for both of ability tests. There is no difference between KR-20 reliability coefficients of the numerical abilities and the verbal abilities tests applied with two different methods.
