Özet

IV ÖZET Yapılan bu araştırmanın amacı, aktif öğrenme ve geleneksel öğretimin ilköğretim öğrencilerinin Türkçe başarısı üzerindeki etkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Hedeflenen, eğitim düzeyi daha yüksek, daha nitelikli nesiller yaratmak için neler yapılabileceğinin saptanmasıdır. Araştırmada yöntem olarak ön test-son test araştırma deseni ve öğrenci stili indeksi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma, deney ve kontrol grubu olmak üzere iki grup üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deney ve kontrol grubunu oluşturan öğrencilerin sayıları birbirine eşittir (n= 28). Her iki grup da başarı durumu, cinsiyet, sosyo-ekonomik koşullar vb. açıdan benzer nitelikler taşımaktadır. Uygulamanın yapıldığı 8 hafta süresince elde edilen veriler Türkçe başarı testi ve öğrenci stili indeksi göz önünde bulundurularak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları ortalama, standart sapma analizleri sonucunda elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre; ilköğretim 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin Türkçe başarısı üzerinde aktif öğrenme yönteminin, geleneksel öğretim yöntemine göre daha etkili olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Aktif öğrenme yönteminin zihne uygunluğu, kullanışlı, ekonomik olması, öğrenciye kendi öğrenmesinin sorumluluğunu yüklemesi gibi özellikleri bu etkililiği destekleyen bir nitelik taşımaktadır. Araştırma sırasında öğrenciler arasındaki etkileşime de dikkat edilmiş ve aktif öğrenme yönteminin uygulandığı deney grubu öğrencileri arasında kurulan düzgün iletişim göze çarpmıştır. Edinilen bu bulgular ışığında bu araştırmanın, bu alanda yapılacak diğer araştırmalara, araştırmacılara öğretmen yetiştiren kurumlara, ilköğretim okullarında çalışan öğretmenlere kaynaklık etmesi ve çeşitli alanlarda uygulanıp yaygınlaştırılması istenilmektedir. Bu noktada unutulmaması gereken şey ise; araştırmanın ilköğretimin 6. sınıfında ve dilbilgisinin yazım-noktalama, sözdizimi konularıyla sınırlandırılmış olmasıdır. ABSTRACT The pourpose of this research is to bring out the effects of active learning and traditional teaching on the Turkish achievement and to fix what canbe done for creating qualified and high educates generations. İn this study, pretest-postest research design and student's style index are implemented as a method.The research was carried on two groups: Experiment and control groups.The number of the students that make up the experiment and control group is equal to the each other (n=28). Both groups have he similar qualities in the level of success, sexuality and socia-economic conditions. The documents, obtained through the implemented period-8 weeks-, are evalvated by keeping into consideration the Turkish Achievement Test and Student's Style Index. The research findings are obtained in the result of standard deviation and average. According to the documents obtained at the very end of the research,it's concluded that Active learning method is more effective on the Turkish Achievement of 6th class primary school students than traditional teaching method. Active learning's having some qualities, like it's apropriacy to mind and it's being economic and practical gives the responsibility of learning by "self to the student support its effectiveness. During the research, the interaction among the students is taken into the consideration and there becomes a correct communication among the experiment group students upon whom the active learning is implemented. In the light of these obtained findings, this research is desired to be a source for following researches and researchers, teachers working in the primary schools and institutions that train the teachers.This research's being used in many fields is also desired. It is necessary not to forget that this research is limited with the 6th class of primary school and the subjects of grammar, punctuation, and word order.
