Özet
ÖZET Örgütsel stres ve iş tatmini bütün organizasyonlar için önemli kavramlar haline gelmiştir. Stres bireylerin kişisel kaynaklarının, koşulların talep ve baskılarıyla başa çıkmak için yeterli olmadığı durumlarda ortaya çıkan psikolojik ve fiziksel durumdur. İş tatmini düzeyi ve stres bireyleri ve örgütleri etkileyebilir. Bireysel seviyede, iş tatmininin düşük ve stresin yüksek olması zihinsel ve fiziki sağlık, yaşam kalitesi, hedeflere ulaşma ve kişisel gelişim açısından tehdit oluşturmaktadır. öğretmenlik en önemli meslek gruplarından birisidir. Bu nedenle stres ve iş tatminsizliğine yol açan faktörlerin ortaya çıkarılması ve bunların yönetiminin hem öğretmenler hem de ülkemizin geleceği açısından uzun süreçli faydaları bulunmaktadır; çünkü öğretmenler yeni nesilleri eğiterek ülkemizin gelişiminde önemli bir role sahiptir. Bu araştırma öğretmenlerin örgütsel stres ve iş tatmini seviyelerini belirlemek ve devlet veya özel ilköğretim okullarında görevli öğretmenleri örgütsel stres ve iş tatmini açısından karşılaştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmadaki veriler örgütsel stres kaynakları ile iş tatmini arasında negatif korelasyon olduğunu ve özel okul öğretmenlerinin devlet okulu öğretmenlerinden hem içsel ve hem de dışsal olarak daha fazla iş tatminine sahip olduğunu ve daha az stresli olduklarını göstermiştir. ABSTRACT Both organizational stress and job satisfaction has become significant issues for all the organizations. Stress is the psychological and physical state that results when the resources of the individual are not sufficient to cope with the demands and pressure of the situation. Level of job satisfaction and stress can affect both individuals and organization. At the individual level, low level of job satisfaction and high level of job stress are threat to mental and physical health, quality of life, goal achievement and personal development Whereas, for the workplace these conditions lead to increased absenteeism, conflict and turnover, reduced quality and quantity of work. Teachers are one of the most important occupational groups. Thus identification of factors responsible for stress and job dissatisfaction and their management at their primary level has long term benefits both for the teachers and the future of our country since teachers have a significant role in the development of the country educating the new generations. This research is done to find out the stress and satisfaction level of the teachers and to compare and contrast the state school teachers and private school teachers in terms of organizational stress and job satisfaction level. The data in this study supported that there is a negative relationship between organizational stressors and job satisfaction and private school teachers are less stressed and both intrinsically and extrinsically more satisfied than state school teachers.
