Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada Sivas il merkezinde intihar davranışının yaygınlığı ile intihar davranışının bazı sosyodemografik değişkenlerle ilişkisinin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, sonuçların il merkezine genellenebileceği biçimde tabakalı örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 1117 birey oluşturmuştur. Araştırma iki aşamada gerçekleştirildi. İlk aşamada, daha önce saptanan 500 hanedeki 18-65 yaş aralığındaki (n=1117) bireylere sosyodemografik bilgi formu, intihar davranış ölçeği, intihar düşünce ölçeği ve intihar niyeti ölçeği uygulandı. İkinci aşamada, intihar girişimi olanlara SCID-I ve SCID-II ölçekleri yüz yüze görüşülerek uygulandı. Yaşam boyu intihar davranışının yaygınlığı %2.23, yaşam boyu intihar planı veya intihar girişiminin yaygınlığı %3.58, son bir yılda intihar düşüncesinin yaygınlığı %1.43, son bir haftada intihar düşüncesinin yaygınlığı %9.13, yaşam boyu intihar girişiminin yaygınlığı %1.43 ve yaşam boyu intihar niyetinin yaygınlığı ise %7.87 olarak bulundu. İstatiksel olarak anlamlı olmasa da intihar davranışı kadınlarda daha fazla olarak saptandı. İntihar davranışı istemeden yapılan evliliklerde daha fazla olarak saptandı. Evlilik süresinin artmasıyla birlikte hem intihar davranışı hem de intihar düşüncesi azalmaktaydı. Alkol kullanımı öyküsü olanlarda intihar düşüncesi oram alkol kullanım öyküsü olmayanlara göre anlamlı şekilde daha yüksekti.

ABSTRACT In this study it is aimed to establish a relationship between prevalance of suicidal behaviors and some sociodemographic variables in the city center of Sivas. Sampling of study consists of 1117 individuals who have been selected with stratified sampling method so the results could be applied to the city center. The study is executed in two steps. In the first step, sociodemographic data form, suicide behavior scale, suicide thought scale and suicide intent scale are applied to the individuals between 18-65 ages (n= 1117) in 500 prearranged house holds. In the second step, SCID-I and SCID-II scales are applied face to face to the individuals who have been suicide attempt. It is determined as %2.23 for the rate of the lifetime suicidal behavior, %3.58 for the rate of the lifetime suicide plan and attempt, %1.43 for the rate of the suicide thought in the last one year, %9.13 for the rate of the suicide thought in the last one week, %1.43 for the rate of the lifetime suicide attempt and %7.87 for the rate of the lifetime suicide intent in. Even though it does not make a statistical significance, the suicide behavior is determined more for females. The suicide behavior is determined more in the arranged marriages. Both the suicide behavior and the suicide thought are become less with the increasing duration of marriages. The suicide thought of the individuals with alcohol consumption history is significantly higher than the individuals with no alcohol consumption histories.
