ÖZET Bilim Uzmanlığı Tezi BİLECİK ILI SPALAXLEUCODONNOKDMANN, 1840 (MAMMALIA: RODENTIA)'LARININ KARYOLOJİK VE MORFOLOJİK ANALİZİ Ferhat MATUR Zonguldak Karaelmas Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Biyoloji Anabilim Dalı Tez Danışmanı: Doç.Dr. Mustafa SÖZEN Ocak 2005, 70 sayfa Körfare Spalax Guldenstaedt, 1770 üzerinde yapılan bu araştırmada Bilecik ilinden 11 lokaliteden 35 örneğin karyolojisi ve morfolojisi incelendi. İncelenen körfare populasyonlarının Bilecik'te 2n = 52, NF = 70; 2n = 60, NF = 78 değerlerine sahip oldukları belirlendi. Her bir örnekten alman iç ve dış 47 karakter ölçüsünün t-testi analiz sonuçlarına göre, belirlenen 2 kromozomal formun hem erkekleri, hem de dişileri 7 'şer karakter bakımından birbirlerinden istatistiki önemde (P

ABSTRACT M. Sc. Thesis KARYOLOGICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF SPALAX LEUCODONNORDMANN, 1840 (MAMMALIA: RODENTIA) IN BİLECİK PROVINCE Ferhat MATUR Zonguldak Karaelmas University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Biology Thesis Advisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa SÖZEN January 2005, 70 pages The study was on the subterranean mole rats of the Spalax Guldenstaedt, 1770, in Bilecik. The karyotypes of 35 specimens across 1 1 localities were analysed. 2n = 52, NF = 70; 2n = 60, NF = 78 karyotypic forms were identified in the populations which belongs S. leucodon from Bilecik. 47external and internal character measurement have been taken from every samples and these measurement were analysed with t-test. As a result t test of these measurement either males and females of two chromosomal forms are significantly different (PO.05) each other in 7 characters. According to discriminant function analyses prepareds upon the sameABSTRACT (continued) data, two chromosomal forms, and males and females of each form are differentiated from each other. According to the dendogram prepared based on non-metric morphological characteristic, two forms can be diffarentiated and all individuals placed its group correctly. Characteristics of the specimens of two chromosomal forms determined from stuy area were composed with that of three subspecies supspecies {Spalax leucodon cilicicus, S. I. anatolicus ve S. I. turcicus) reported from adjencent localities. It was determined thata both form were differentiated from these subspecies by some morphological and karological characteristics. Though these differences two forms determined here were not described different taxa. Because study area was very samll and for such a conclusion all chromosaml forms in Turkey must be evaluated together.
