Dr. M.Emin BAŞAR2006Jüri: ....................Bu çalışmada, bugünün cami yapılarının nitelik kalitesinin düşmesinin, simgeseldeğerlerinin yozlaşarak yitirilmesinin nedenlerinin tespiti amaçlanmaktadır. Camimimarisinde yaşanan kimlik problemi, kaliteden yoksunluk ve nitelik sorunu hangi kriterlerleele alınabilir? Konunun birden çok boyutları var. Bu çalışma ile yapılmak istenen, camimimarisinde görülen sorunların farklı boyutlarını net bir şekilde ortaya koyabilmek, teşhisetmek, konu üzerinde, farklı görüş ve kanıları belirlemek, cami tasarım konseptininşekillenişindeki etmenlerin tespitini yapabilmektir.Çalışmada, günümüz cami mimarisinde, bir ?kimlik? kavramı çerçevesinde, biçim,anlam/sembolizm, gündelik yaşantı/deneyimleme başlıkları kapsamında, mimari düzen vekarakter çözümlemeleri ve eleştirisi yapılmaktadır. Belirtilen bu çerçevenin herbirine dönükilgili kavramsal kurgunun da oluşumu sağlanmaktadır. Biçime dayalı çözümleme veeleştirilerin bulunduğu bölümde ?Mimari kompozisyon? prensiplerine bağlı orantısalkarşılaştırmalarının yanısıra, şekil özellikleri kütle-mekan ölçekleri gibi form değerleri deirdelenmektedir. Şekil ve ölçek konuları yalnızca bir form incelenmesinin unsurları olarakkalmayıp, anlam ve deneyim boyutlarında da tartışılması devam eden unsurlardır. Diğerbölümlerde biçimle başlayan irdeleme, salt biçim değerleri olarak kalmayıp, yapının üretimşekli, mimari hizmet alımı, teknik hizmetler vb. hususlar ile ilişkileri tartışılmaktadır.Çalışmada özellikle, 1980 sonrası cami yapıları üzerinde durulmuştur. 1980sonrasında yaşanan politik, ekonomik ve sosyal dönüşümlerin yansımaları her alanda olduğugibi mimarlık alanında da yaşanmıştır. Bu çalışma, günümüz cami tasarımında da karşılaşılansorunları incelemiş, cami mimarisinde farklı yaklaşımların, çeşitliliğin ve bugünün koşullarınabağlı bir değişimin yaşanması gerekliliğine değinmiştir.

In this sense, within aproblematic framework of a general identity of mosque architecture, form,meaning/symbolism and empiricism concepts are discussed. With which criterions can behandled the identity problem on mosque architecture, lack of quality and attribution problem?The subject possesses more aspects. What it is wanted to do with this study is to clarify todetermine, to identify contrast point of views and thoughts the different dimensions ofproblems observed on mosque architecture. The aim is to determine the factors in formalizingof mosque design concept.In this study named as ?In Perspective of Republican Period The Problem of Identityand Aesthetics Quality on the Recent Mosque Architecture -The Case of Konya-? firstly. Theaim and the scope of the study is stated. In the second and third chapters, sources carried outabout the subject are evaluated and the method is explained. In the fourth chapter, conceptsrelated with mosques are explained and also the religious, socio-cultural and architecturalhistories of mosque are emphasized. In the fifth chapter, the identity problems on mosquearchitecture are scrutinized. In this sense, the factors emphasized on mosque architecture arediscussed. In the sixth chapter, aesthetic quality problem is evaluated under the headings offormal aesthetic, symbolical aesthetic on mosque architecture and environmental aesthetic. Inthe seventh chapter, the subject is handled with the buildings demonstrated in the privatecatalog produced for the city of Konya and peculiarities of recent mosque architecture aredescribed. In the conclusion section, the discussions have done on study scale are evaluated,the results are identified and the thoughts advised are affered.With this study, generally today on the recent mosques built“uncontrollingly”asdeprived of architectural planning organization, after planning and construction the benefits tobe gained by the purifying all negative parts as much as possible will provide profits to thenational economy. In case ensuring al spiritual and residential effects should be included by amosque, qualified worship residences will be realized to meet people's spiritual needs.
