iÖZETDoktora tezi, Bilgisayar Destekli ve Bilgisayar Temelli Öğretim Yöntemlerinin,Öğrencilerin Bilgisayar Dersi Başarısı ve Bilgisayar Kullanım Tutumlarına Etkisi:?Trakya Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Örneği?. T.C. Trakya Üniversitesi, Fen BilimleriEnstitüsü, Bilgisayar Mühendisliği Ana Bilim Dalı.Bu araştırmanın amacı, bilgisayar destekli ve bilgisayar temelli öğretimyöntemlerinin, öğrencilerin Bilgisayar dersindeki başarılarına ve bilgisayar kullanmayayönelik tutumlarına etkisini belirlemektir. Bu temel amaç çerçevesinde öğrencileringerek Bilgisayar dersindeki başarıları gerekse bilgisayar kullanma tutumları, cinsiyet,ailenin eğitim durumu ve gelir düzeyi, ikamet edilen yer vb. değişkenler açısından daincelenmiştir. Ayrıca sözü geçen iki öğretim yönteminin öğrencilerde bilgininkalıcılığına etkisi de saptanmaya çalışılmıştır.Altı hafta süren çalışmanın örneklemini Trakya Üniversitesi Eğitim FakültesiSınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümü (I. Öğretim) 2. sınıfa devam eden 94 öğrenci oluşturmuştur.Öğrenciler öntest-sontest kontrol grup deseni ile kontrol ve deney grubunu oluşturacakşekilde dağıtılmıştır. Veri toplamak amacı ile bir bilgisayar tutum ölçeği, anket, seviyebelirleme testi ve uygulama sınavı kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 12.00programında t, Kruskal Wallis H, Anova ve Mann-Whitney U testleriyle analiz edilerekdeğerlendirilmiştir.Elde edilen sonuçlara göre bilgisayar destekli öğretim yöntemiyle Bilgisayardersi alan öğrenciler, uygulama sınavında, bilgisayar temelli öğretim yöntemiyle dersialan öğrencilerden daha yüksek başarı elde etmişlerdir. Buna karşılık her iki yöntemaçısından, öğrencilerin bilgisayar kullanma tutumlarında anlamlı bir farkbulunamamıştır. Yöntemler, öğrencilerde bilgi kalıcılığı açısından da bir farka nedenolmamıştır.Bu tez 2006 yılında yapılmıştır ve 239 sayfadan oluşmaktadır.ANAHTAR KELİMELER: Bilgisayar Destekli Öğretim, Bilgisayar Temelli Öğretim,Dick ve Carey Modeli.

iiABSTRACTPhD Thesis, The Effects of the Computer Assisted and Computer BasedMethods on the Success of the Students and the Attitude of Using Computer in theComputer Classes: ?A Sample Study at Education Faculty of Trakya University?. TheDivision of Computer Engineering, Physical Sciences Institute, Trakya University.The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of the computer-assisted and computer-based instructional methods on students achievement at computerclasses and on their attitudes towards using computers. With this target, both theachivement of the students at computer classes and their attitudes towards usingcomputers were examined considering their genders, the educational backgrounds oftheir parents, the income level of their families and their place of residence.Additionally, the impact of such instructional methods on the retention of informationwas investigated.The study, which was completed in 6 weeks, were carried out with 94sophomores studying in formal education program of Primary Teaching Department ofEducation Faculty at Trakya University. The participants were distributed intoexperimental and control groups by pre-test post-test control group design. A computerattitude scale, a questionnaire, a level-designation test and a practice test were used tocollect the data. To evaluate the data, t test, Kruskall Wallis test H, Anova and Mann-Whitney U tests were used in the program of SPSS 12.00s .According to the study results, the students receiving computer-assistedinstruction during their computer classes showed higher success on the practice test thanthe students taking classes with computer-based instructional methods. Additionally, aconsiderable difference has not been seen in the attitude of the students towards usingcomputers from the other standpoints of the study. The methods did not lead anydifference in terms of information retention among students.This study was completed in 2006.
