Özet
Şer'iyye Sicilleri, tarihin en önemli şahitlerinden olup, arşiv malzemeleri arasında önemli bir kaynak teşkil etmektedir. Şer'iyye Sicilleri, merkezden gönderilen her konudaki ferman, berat, i'lâm, hüccet gibi kadıların şer'i ve hukukî vazifesine ait davalarda verdiği hükümleri içermektedir. Eski yerleşim yerlerinin tespiti, köy, mahalle, semt, çiftlik, otlak, özellikle aşiret ve cemaat isimlerinin sicillerdeki kayıtları tarihimiz için son derece kıymetlidir. Şer'iyye Sicilleri, 15 yüzyılın ikinci yarısı ile 20. yüzyılın ilk çeyreği arasındaki döneme ait Osmanlı tarihi ve kültürünün hukukî, içtimaî ve siyasî kaynaklarıdır. Siciller, yargı yetkisine sahip olan kadıların vermiş oldukları kararları, tuttukları zabıtları, idarî, siyasî ve hukukî yazışmaları içeren tarihi vesikalardır. Çalışmamızın temel kaynağı olan Kayseri Şer'iyye Sicillerinin mikrofilmleri, Ankara Milli Kütüphane'de ve Kayseri ve Yöresi Tarih Araştırmaları Merkezi'nde bulunmaktadır. 77/1 No'lu Kayseri Şer'iyye Sicili, Kayseri ve Yöresi Tarih Araştırmaları Merkezinden fotokopi yolu ile temin edilmiştir. Bundan sonraki dönemde sicilin transkripsiyonu, tezin değerlendirilmesi ve bibliyografya taraması yapılmıştır. Söz konusu Şer'iyye Sicilindeki belgelerin tamamı günümüz harflerine çevrilmiştir. Yine aynı şekilde bütün belgeler, konularına göre tasnif edilmiştir. Tezin sonunda yer alacak olan ekler kısmında teze konu olan sicilin orijinali fotokopi yolu ile çoğaltılmış bir nüshası verilmiştir. Önemli şahıs, yer adları kurum ve kuruluş adlarına göre indeks hazırlanmıştır

The registers of şer'iyye are the most important witnesses of the history and are important sources in the archives materials. The registers of şeriyye contain the judgments of the Muslim Judges in the trials peculiar to their şer'i and legal duties on every subject sent from the centre administration of country such as ferman, berat, i'lâm, hüccet, etc. The establishing of the ancient settlement places and the registration of the names of village, quarter, farm, pasture and especially the tribe and congregation are essential for our history. The registers of şer'iyye are the sources that include the legal, social and political culture and the history of the Ottaman between the second half of the 15th century and the first quarter of the 20th century period. The registers are the historical documents which include Muslim Judges' decisions, written minutes, administrative, political and legal correspondences. Kayseri Şer'iyye Registers microfilms which are the main source of our study are kept in the Ankara National Library and KAYTAM. The Kayseri Şer'iyye Register Şer'iyye numbered 77/1 was ensured by copying from KAYTAM. After that the transcript of the register, evaluation of the thesis and bibliography hatching were done. Whole documents in the above-mentioned Şer'iyye Register were translated into today's alphabet. In addition to this, all the documents are classified according to their subjects. The original pages of the register were copied and attached to the appendix placed at the end of the thesis. Index was prepared according to the the important names of person, places, institutions and associations. In the result of all the studies and thoughts the information which can give light to the political, military, economic, administrative and social history of Kayseri at the same time Ottoman Empire has been obtained.
