Özet
Bilginin önemi gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Bilginin stratejik anlamda önemliolduğunun farkına varan işletmeler, bilgiyi faaliyetlerinde kullanma çabası içindedirler.Bu çabalar bir bütün olarak bilgi yönetimi olarak ifade edilmektedir.Teknolojik gelişmeler bilgi sistemlerinin işleyişinde değişmelere yol açmıştır.İşletmelerdeki en eski sistemlerden birisi olan muhasebe bilgi sistemi de gününkoşullarına uygun olarak değişim göstermektedir.Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, bilginin işletmeler açısından önemi vurgulanmaktave bilgi yönetiminin işletmelerde meydana getirdiği değişmeler açıklanmaktadır.İkinci bölümde, işletmelerdeki bilgi sistemlerini bütünleşik bir yapı altında işlemesinisağlayan Kurumsal Kaynak Planlaması sistemlerinin işleyişi, işletmelere olan etkileri vemuhasebe bilgi sistemine olan ilişkisi modüllerin genel işleyişleri itibariyle açıklanmıştır.Üçüncü bölümde, muhasebe bilgi sisteminin yönetim bilgi sistemleri içindekiyeri ve günümüz gelişmelerinin muhasebe bilgi sistemine olan etkileri sistemininbütünü ve alt sistemleri kapsamında incelenmiştir.Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise kurumsal kaynak planlaması sistemini bünyesinekurmuş olan, Türkiye'deki büyük bir lastik üreticisi firmanın muhasebe bilgi sistemininişleyişi, sistemin bütünü ve alt sistemleri kapsamında incelenmiştir.

The importance of knowledge is being realized day by day. By the noticing ofthe strategic importance of knowledge by the companies, companies has a great effort inintegrating knowledge into their operations. These efforts, as a whole, are calledknowledge management.Developments in technology has effected the operating of information systems in thecompanies. Accounting Information Systems (AIS), one of the oldest information systems inthe companies, also been effected by the recent trends occured in the technology.In the first chapter of the study, the importance of knowledge for the companiesis emphasized and the changes occured by the knowledge management implementationin the companies are explained.In the second chapter, the operating of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)systems, which integrates the information systems together in a company, are explained.Also the effects of ERP systems on companies, and relations with the AIS are explained.In the third chapter, the place of AIS in Management Information System, theeffects of recent changes on AIS are explained by the AIS in general and in detail by thesubsystems of AIS.The last chapter of the study is a case study applied within one of the top tiremanufacturing firm that has implemented the ERP system, in Turkey, Kocaeli. The studyexamines the AIS of the company by the system in general and in detail by the subsystems.
