Özet

ÖZET Eski kent dokusunun ekonomik bir işlerlik getirilerek korunması gereksinimi sonucunda benimsenen turizm işlevi ile koruma etkileşiminin incelendiği bu çalışmanın amacı, hedeflenenler,kapsam ve yöntem ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde ise turizm tanımları, turistik çekicilik ve bir turistik ürün olması açısından“tarihi kent”incelenmiştir-. Tarihi kent ve turizm etkileşiminin incelendiği üçüncü bölümde“tarihi kent”,“turistik kent”ve her iki işlevin çakışması sonucu ortaya çıkan“turistik tarihi kent”kav - ramı ve sınıflandırılması yer almaktadır. Turizm ve tarihi kent etkileşiminin ortaya çıkardığı tarihi kent ve doğal çevre açısından olumlu ve olumsuz sonuçların incelendiği dördüncü bölümde planlamanın turizmden korunmanın tek yolu olduğu vurgulanmış ve planlı bir turizm ve koruma gelişimi ile turizm pazarında yer alan turistik -tarihi kent örnekleri incelenmiştir. Birincil derece turistik çekiciliğe sahip olan tarihi kaynakların ve kentlerin turizm planlama kararlarında ki yeri beşinci bölümde incelenmiş ve Türkiye gelişim planlarında birincil derece turistik çekiciliklere verilen yer ve koruma yaklaşımları ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın altıncı bölümünde ise bir yöntem uygulamasıyla saptanan yöresel turist profili ve önerilen turizm ve koruma modeli ele alınmıştır. xii

INTERACTION OF CONSERVATION AND TOURISM İN HISTORIC CITY AND A CASE STUDY OF KAYA KÖY SUMMARY Tourism is a result of necessity which is occuring from negative impacts of modernized life such as traffic congestion,spund pollution, crav/Ss and hard working hours. Tourism indûstry is based on cultural and natural resources which are not produced by itself but just used for attracting tourists and supplying its own goodssuch as accommodation, cathering facilities, entertainment and sö foarth. The- aim of this study is to emphasize the importance of historical and cultural factors in tourism market and claiminğ - that there needs to be protection from tourism. for'. the historical values. As an addition to thie aims of the study, to prevent the exploition of historic cities in tourism marketwithout losing ali its existing cha'racteristics. * The goal of the study is to show the interaction of the tourism and conservation in historic cities and determine the negative and positive impacts of tourism on the historic cities, and to emphasize“the importance of integrated tourism and conservation planning”is accepted as öne of the goals. To show tourism planning and conservation approaches in famous historic cities which are related the Kaya Köy case is öne of the main processesof the study. Beside ş,to show case study examples attaching the tourism potential of Kaya Köy by guestionnaires is the other process which is followed during the study to find if tourism function and its users are convenient for Kaya Köy ör not.
