Özet
Bu araştırma; görsel algı ve becerilerin gelişimine yönelik bir sanat eğitim modeli hazırlanması ve bu sanat eğitim programının çocukların görsel algı gelişimine etkisinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma evrenine 2006 yılında Ankara ili Çankaya ilçesinde Sosyal Hizmetler ve Çocuk Esirgeme Kurumuna bağlı Özel Anaokulları ve Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı İlköğretim okullarında Ana Sınıfına devam eden çocuklar dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmaya dahil edilen çocukların normal gelişim düzeyinde olup olmadıklarını belirlemek amacıyla Denver II Gelişimsel Tarama Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma örneklemi 50'si kız 50'si erkek olmak üzere 100 çocuk olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada çocukların görsel algılamalarını belirlemek için Frostig Görsel Algı Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya dahil edilen çocuklara Frostig Görsel Algı Testi ön test olarak uygulanmıştır. Ön testin değerlendirilmesi sonucunda araştırmacı tarafından; göz-motor koordinasyonu, şekil-zemin algılaması, şekil sabitliğini algılama, mekan ile konumu algılama ve mekan ilişkilerini algılama boyutlarında görsel algı becerilerini geliştirecek görsel sanat eğitim programı hazırlanarak çocuklara uygulanmıştır. Uygulama haftada üç gün olmak üzere oniki hafta devam etmiştir. Görsel sanat eğitim programı uygulandıktan sonra Frostig Görsel Algı testi araştırmaya dahil edilen çocuklara son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Testlerden elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel çözümlenmesi için SPSS V10.0 istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. Veri grupları bağımlı olduğundan bağımlı gruplar Student-T testi kullanılmıştır. Bağımlı gruplar son test sonuçlarına göre; çalışma grubunun göz-motor koordinasyonu, şekil-zemin algılaması, şekil sabitliğini algılama, mekan ile konumu algılama ve mekan ilişkilerini algılama boyutlarında anlamlı bir gelişme gösterdiği görülmüştür. Bu araştırma için hazırlanarak görsel algılama gelişimine etkisinin incelendiği örnek sanat eğitim programı, okul öncesi eğitimcilere benzer etkinlikler düzenleyip uygulayabilecekleri yönünde örnek oluşturabilecektir.

This research is made in order to prepare an art education model which develops the visual perception and capabilities and to investigate the effects of this education program on the development of the children?s visual perception. The research materials are chosen form the children in Kindergarten under the National Education Ministry Primary Schools under the authority of Institute of Social Services and Children Protection in the province of Ankara, Çankaya. The research is made on the 100 children, which of them are 50 girls and 50 boys. The Denver II Development Scanning Test is used in order to investigate if the attending children are in the level of normal evolution level. Then the Frostig Visual Perception Test is used on the children who are in the normal level of evaluation as a pre-test. The researcher prepare an art education program which will develop the eye-motor coordination, shape-surface perception, perception of shape consistence, perception of place and position and perception visual capabilities in the framework of perception of place relations after analyzing the pre-test. The art education program is applied to the children in three days of a week at the total of twelve weeks. After applying the art education program, Frostig Visual Perception test is applied again on the children. For the statistical solutions of the test, SPSS V10.0 statistic program is used. As the data groups are dependent, the dependent Student-T test is used. According to the results of the dependent groups test, the eye-motor coordination, shape-surface perception, perception of shape consistence, perception of place and position and perception visual capabilities in the framework of perception of place relations show a significant evaluation. The visual art education sample program which investigates the effects of visual perception evaluation that is prepared for this research can be a sample for the pre-school educators in order to prepare similar activities and apply them.
