Özet
Bu araştırma Kendini Tanıma ve İletişim Yönetimi dersinde farklı bir öğretim stratejisi uygulanarak öğrencilerin öğrenmeleri üzerindeki yansımasını belirlemek amacıyla, tek gruplu son test düzeni kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini ve örneklemini, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Hemşirelik Yüksekokulu 2006?2007 Öğretim Yılı Bahar döneminde ?Kendini Tanıma ve İletişim Yönetimi? dersine kayıtlı olan öğrenciler oluşturmuştur (N=102). Bu öğrencilerden araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan ve belirlenen öğretim stratejilerinin uygulanmasına bir sömestr boyunca devamsız katılanlar araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır (N=83). Araştırmanın verileri Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Portfolyo Değerlendirme Formları kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler SPSS programında analiz edilerek; Yüzdelik, Mann-Whitney U, Friedman İki Yönlü Varyans Analizi, Wilcoxon Eşleştirilmiş İki Örnek ve Kruskal Wallis Testleri ile değerlendirilmiştir. Öğretim programı sonunda, öğrencilerin portfolyolarından aldıkları puanların konular ilerledikçe anlamlı düzeyde arttığı (X²=99.593 p<0.001), bitirme sınavında öğretim programında ele alınan konulardaki toplam puan ortalamalarının, bir önceki öğretim yılındaki (2005?2006) öğrencilerin puan ortalamalarından anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu görülmüştür (Z=6.620; p<0.001). Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda, kullanılan öğretim stratejilerinin dersin diğer konularında da yeniden değerlendirilerek uygulanması ve uygulamalarda iletişim becerilerine etkisini izleyebilmek için gözleme dayalı ve kontrol gruplu araştırmaların planlanması önerilmiştir.

This research was carried out by using the one group post test design to describe the reflections of the application of a different teaching strategy in Self Awareness and Communication Management course on students? learning. The population and the sample of this research comprised of the students who enrolled in the Self Awareness and Communication Management course at Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 2006?2007 academic year Spring Term (N=102). Among these students, volunteers to participate the research with full attendance to the implementation of the determined teaching strategies during the semester were included in the scope of the research (N=83). Data of the research were collected by using Individual Information Form and Portfolio Evaluation Forms. The collected data were analyzed on SPSS computer software by using Percentage, Mann-Whitney U Test, Friedman Analysis of Variance; Wilcoxon Matched Samples Test and Kruskal Wallis Test. At the end of the course, it was observed that the scores of the students from Portfolio Evaluation Forms increased significantly as the subjects moved on (X²=99.593; p<0.001), final exam scores of the students on topics covered in the teaching program were higher than scores of the students in the previous academic year (2005-2006) significantly (Z=6.620; p<0.001). Based on the results, it is recommended that teaching strategies applied in this study should be implemented to other topics of the course and further research with control groups based on observation should be planned for followingup the reflections on students? communication skills during clinical practices.
