Özet

Bu çalışma öğrencilerin web tabanlı bir öğrenme ortamında algılarınıincelemektedir. Öğrencilerin ders materyalleri, iletişim düzeyi, çevrimiçi dersdestek ve memnuniyet algıları incelenmiştir.Bu durum çalışması için, 2004-2005 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Orta DoğuTeknik Üniversitesi(ODTÜ), Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri EğitimiBölümü'nde açılan Eğitimde Bilgi Teknolojileri II dersi araştırmaya alınmıştır. Budönemde toplam 34 birinci sınıf BÖTE Bölümü öğrencisi derse devam etmiş veçalışmada yer almıştır.viVeriler ders sonunda anket yoluyla toplanmış ve tanımlayıcı istatistiksel analizyöntemleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin demografik bilgilerinin vedersin değişik yönlerini değerlendiren ifadelerin frekans dağılımları eldeedilmiştir. Sonuçlar öğrencilerin ders materyalleri, iletişim düzeyi, çevrimiçi dersdestek ve memnuniyet algılarının nötr olduğunu göstermektedir.Bulgular web tabanlı eğitimle ders veren öğretmenler ve bölüm için değerlendirmeamaçlı kullanılabilir. Daha sonraki çalışmalarda etkili bir öğretme ortamı yaratmakiçin ipuçları verebilir.

This study investigated the students? perceptions about a web based course. Theirperceptions about course materials, level of communication, online course support,and satisfaction were discussed in this study.In this case study, Information Technology in Education II (CEIT 112), anundergraduate course at the department of Computer Education and InstructionalTechnology (CEIT), Middle East Technical University (METU) at 2004/2005spring semester was taken into investigation. Totally 34 1st year CEIT studentsattended the course in the term and participated to the study. The course wasdelivered via web based instruction.ivThe data were collected by using a survey instrument at the end of the term andanalyzed using descriptive statistical analyzing methods. Frequency distributionsfor demographic data about the students and the statements evaluating differentaspects of the course were obtained. Results showed that students? feelings aboutcourse materials, online course support, level of communication and satisfactionwere neutral.The study results may be used in evaluation of web-based instruction environmentfor the instructor and the department. They may give clues in order to create aneffective learning environment in the future design of the course.
