Özet
Eğitim, bir ülkenin kalkınmasında en önemli unsur ve yapı taşlarından birisidir. Öyle ki ülkelerin sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik ve politik yapıları ile gelişmişlik düzeylerinin oluşmasında belirleyici faktör olan insan unsurunun yetişmesinde en büyük pay eğitime aittir. Bu yüzden hemen her ülke bugün eğitime mümkün olduğunca fazla kaynak ayırmakta ve eğitimin nasıl daha iyi verilebileceği konusunda çeşitli çalışmalar yürütmektedir. Eğitimde materyal kullanımı, öğretmeni desteklemesi ve eğitim-öğretimin daha anlamlı ve kalıcı olması açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. 21.yüzyıla adım attığımız şu günlerde, günlük hayatımızın vazgeçilmez bir parçası haline gelen bilgisayarlar, çok sayıda bilgiyi saklayabilme, işleyebilme, istenilen bilgiyi kısa bir sürede ortaya çıkarabilme ve görsel, işitsel ve interaktif özellikleriyle bilgiyi zengin bir biçimde sunabilme ile eğitim için büyük bir potansiyel oluşturmaktadırlar. Çalışmada, orta öğretim coğrafya derslerinde bilgisayar destekli animasyon kullanımının öğrenci başarısına etkisi ve bu amaçla hazırlanmış animasyonlara yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemini 2006?2007 öğretim yılında Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı Bilecik il merkezinde yer alan Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesi'nin dokuzuncu ve onuncu sınıflarının oluşturduğu dört şubedeki 98 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Bu şubelerden dokuzuncu ve onuncu sınıfların birer şubesi animasyon yönteminin uygulandığı animasyon(deney) grupları, diğer ikisi geleneksel yöntemin uygulandığı kontrol gruplarıdır. Veri toplama aracı olarak dokuzuncu sınıflara Coğrafya Başarı Testi-B (CBTB), Onuncu sınıflara ise Coğrafya Başarı Testi- A (CBT-A) uygulanmış ayrıca hem dokuzuncu sınıftaki hem de onuncu sınıftaki animasyon gruplarına Animasyon Görüş Ölçeği (AGÖ - Animation Opinion Scale) uygulanmıştır. Veriler SPSS paket programıyla değerlendirildi. Araştırma araçlarının test edilmesine yönelik olarak bağımsız grup t-testi, yüzde ve puan ortalamaları, kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar deney grubundaki öğrencilerle kontrol grubundaki öğrenciler arasında coğrafya dersinin akademik başarı ve bilginin kalıcılığa olan etkisi yönünden animasyon grubu lehine istatistiksel olarak önemli bir farklılığın olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca animasyon grubundaki öğrencilerin animasyon yönteminin uygulanmasıyla ilgili olumlu görüşler tespit edilmiştir.

Education is one of the building stones forming the foundation of a country?s development in all areas. It has the biggest portion in growing up the human component that is an important factor for a country?s social, cultural, economic and political structure. For that reason, almost all countries spend as much money as they can and study on some works about better education. Using supporting materials in education is an important topic for supporting the teachers and making the education more meaningful and lasting. Computers which have become an ordinary equipment of our life have a big educational potential of keeping, processing and presenting knowledge with their visual, auditory and interactive features. In this study, the requirements for the effect of using animation in improving the geography teaching skill of high school students by computer aided instructions and the examples of previous works are tried to given. The pattern of this study is composed the 98 students in four branches of nineth and tenth classes of Anatolian Teacher High School,situated in Bilecik city center,in 2006-2007 education year which is belong to National Education Ministry. Each of the nineth and tenth classes of these branches are the ones which the animation method is applicated to animation (experiment) groups,the other two ones are the ones which the traditional methods are applicated to control groups. Being a data collecting appliance for nineth classes Geography Success Test- B(GST-B), for tenth classes Geography Success Test-A (GST-A) are applicated and then to the animation groups of both the nineth and tenth classes the Animation Opinion Scale (AOS) is appliacted. The datas are evaluated by SPSS packet program. Directed to testing the research tools substantive group t-test,percent and mark averages are used. According to the results; a big difference has been seen as statistical in favour of animation group between the students who are in control group and experimental group for the effect of the geography lesson?s academic success and permanence of the success. Furthermore from the students in animation group,favorable opinions for application of animation method are achieved.(determined-gained)
