Özet
Fen eğitimi bireyin gelecekteki yaşamını yönlendirme açısından oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu eğitim sürecinde bireyler kendi yaşamlarında kullanacakları bilimsel bilgi ve becerileri kazanmaya başlarlar. Ancak bu süreçte öğrenciler okulda öğretilen bazı kavramları günlük yaşamda karşılaştıkları durumlarla ilişkilendirememektedirler. Bu konulardan biri de kuvvet ve harekettir. Bu araştırmanın amacı fen öğretiminde programlı öğretim yönteminin öğrenci başarısı ve tutumu üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma ön test-son test deney kontrol gruplu deneysel desende yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunu ilköğretim altıncı sınıfta okuyan 58 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Beş hafta süren deneysel işlemler sırasında deney grubunda fen ve teknoloji dersinin işlenmesinde geleneksel işlenen dersle birlikte programlı öğretim yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Kontrol grubunda ise düz anlatım, soru-cevap ve alıştırma uygulama yöntemleriyle ders işlenilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmış kuvvet ve hareket konusu başarı testi ve fen ve teknoloji tutum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ilişkisiz örneklemler t testi, ANCOVA ve ilişkili örneklemler t-testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları dersle birlikte kullanılan programlı öğretim basılı materyalinin kontrol grubuna göre öğrenci başarısını ve tutumunu anlamlı olarak artırdığını göstermektedir. Fen öğretiminde kuvvet ve hareket ve benzeri konularda öğrencilerin zamandan ve sınıf/okul ortamından bağımsız olarak kullanabilecekleri programlı öğretim materyallerinin geliştirilmesi ve kullanılması önerilmektedir.

The science education has got a quite important role for guiding an individual?s future life. During this education, individuals begin getting scientific information and skills which they use in their life. But during this process, students fail while relating the concepts which are taught in school by the situations which are met in daily life. One of these subjects is pover-movement. The aim of this research is to examine the effect of programmed instruction technique in science teaching on the achievement and attitude of student. The research was executed as prior test-last test experiment control group in experimental pattern. The study group was formed by 58 (fifty-eight) students who educate in sixth (6) class at primary school. During the five- weeks experimental operations, in experiment group, programmed instruction technique was used by the traditional technique in science and technology lesson. In control group, the lesson was lectured by simple expressions, question-answer and exercise-practice techniques. By gathering the datas, validity and security studies were made; power-movement subject, achievement test, science and technology attitude measure were used.By analysing the datas; independent-samples t-test, ANCOVA and paired-samples t test were used. According to the results of the research, it shows that programmed instruction printed material which was used with the lesson, increases the achievement and attitude of the student according to the control group. In science instruction, in the subjects which is similar with power and movement, it is suggested that instructors must be use and develop programmed instruction materials so students can use them apart from time and class school enviroment.
