Özet

Bu arastırmada, fen ve teknoloji dersi 5. sınıf ögrencilerinin ?Kuvvet ve Hareket? ünitesinde; Truesdale'in tüm vücut ile dinleme yönteminin akademik basarı ve hatırda tutma üzerindeki etkisi incelenmistir. Ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel modelin kullanıldıgı bu çalısma, 2006?2007 egitim ögretim yılında Denizli li Müftü Ahmet Hulusi lkögretim Okulu'ndaki 5-A (n = 39) ve 5-B (n = 36) sınıflarında ögrenim gören toplam 75 ögrenci ile haftada 4 ders saati olmak üzere 3 hafta boyunca yürütülmüstür. ki sınıftan yansız atama yöntemi ile seçilen kontrol grubunda dersler ilkögretim okullarında uygulanan fen ve teknoloji programda yer alan ögretim yöntemleriyle, deney grubunda ise Truesdale'in tüm vücut ile dinleme yöntemiyle islenmistir. Deney ve kontrol grubundaki dersler arastırmacı tarafından islenmistir. Deney grubunda ders planları ve etkinlikler fen ve teknoloji dersi ögretmen kılavuzundaki etkinlikler dikkate alınarak yönteme uygun olarak arastırmacı tarafından hazırlanmıstır. Arastırmanın verilerini; Basarı Testi olusturmaktadır. Arastırmada Basarı Testinden elde edilen veriler SPSS 11,5 paket programında analiz edilmistir. Analizlerin anlamlık düzeyi 0,05 olarak alınmıstır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde; ortalama, standart sapma, t-testi, koveryans çözümlemesi ve Benforrini testi kullanılmıstır. Sonuç olarak; Truesdale'in Tüm Vücutla Dinleme Yöntemine dayalı ögretimin 5. sınıf fen ve teknoloji dersi ?Kuvvet ve Hareket? ünitesinde ögrencilerin akademik basarılarının artmasında ve ögrenilen bilgilerin hatırda kalmasını saglamada etkili oldugu görülmüstür. Ancak yöntemin ögrencileri basarısı ve hatırda tutma üzerindeki etkilerinin cinsiyet ile iliskisinde anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıstır.

In this research, whether ?The Power and Act? unit, which has been developed in accordance with Truesdale?s whole body listening skills method, has any affect upon 5. grade science student? successes in science and technology lesson, and permanence of attained information in mind have been investigated. This study, in which pretest-posttest control group desing vas used, has been conducted with total 75 student of 5-A (n = 39) and 5-B (n = 36) classes in Denizli Müftü Ahmet Hulusi Primary School, by having 4 lessons per week during 3 week period of time, in 2006-2007 education instruction year. Chosen randomly from two classes, in control group the lessons were made trough instruction method which is used, in experimental group the lessons were made in accordance with Truesdale?s whole body listening skills method. In control and experimental group, the lessons were made by researcher. The lessons plans and activities in experimental group has been prepared trough taking the arrangements and materials in laboratories into consideration by researcher. The data of research is consisted of success test. In the research, the data obtained from success test and have been analyzed with t-test in SPSS 11,5 package program. The meaningfulness level in the analyses has been taken as 0.05. Mean, standard deviation, analysis of covariance, t-test and Bonferroni test were used to analyze the data. Consequently, it can be seen that the instruction activities which depend upon the Truesdale?s whole body listening skills method has a meaningful contribution on 5. grade science and technology students? successes in ?The Power and Act? unit and permanence of attained information in mind. No statistically significant differences were found for gender.
