Özet

Çevrimiçi ögrenme ortamları bireylere yer, zaman, mekan ve kisiden bagımsızı ögrenme etkinlikleri sunar. Çevrimiçi ögrenmenin önemli bir parçası olan egitsel arayüz ajanları, ögrenciler ile etkileserek sosyal ögrenme deneyimi saglarlar. Bu çalısmada web tabanlı egitsel arayüz ajanlarının ögrenci erisilerine etkisine ve ögrencilerin görüslerine yer verilmistir. Çalısmada egitsel ajan bilgi veren ajan rolündedir. Ayrıca ajan ögrenciler ile iletisimini gerçek insan sesi ile saglamaktadır. Çalısmaya bir kamu ilkögretim okulunun 7. sınıfında okuyan 42 ögrenci katılmıstır. Katılan ögrencilerin 21 tanesi deney grubuna, 21 tanesi ise kontrol grubuna rasgele atanmıstır. Deney grubundaki ögrenciler egitsel arayüz ajan ile desteklenmis web temelli ögrenme ortamı ile çalısırken, kontrol grubundaki ögrenciler ise egitsel arayüz ajanı ile desteklenmemis web temelli ögrenme ortamı ile çalısmıslardır. Arastırma sonucunda web tabanlı egitsel arayüz ajanı ile desteklenmis web temelli ögrenme ortamı ve egitsel arayüz ajanı ile desteklenmemis web temelli ögrenme ortamlarındaki ögrencilerin öntest ve sontest puanları arasında anlamlı fark bulunmustur. Deney ve kontrol grupları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmazken; ögrenciler, egitsel arayüz ajan ile desteklenmis web temelli ögrenme ortamının eglenceli oldugunu ifade etmislerdir.

Online learning environments offer activities to individuals independently from location, time, place, and person. As one of the important elements of online learning, pedagogical agents provide learners with social learning experiences through interaction. In this study the effect of the web based pedagogical agents on students? achievement was studied. In addition, students? opinion about web based learning environment was gathered. Pedagogical agent that used in this research has the role of expert as giving information. Moreover, the pedagogical agent realizes the interaction with student by using the real human voice. 42 7th grade students from a public primary education school participated to this study. 21 participants were randomly assigned to the experiment group, and the other 21 to the control group. While the experiment group worked with web based learning environment supported with the pedagogical agent, the control group worked with web based learning environment without the pedagogical agent. It was concluded that both web based learning environment supported with the pedagogical agent and web based learning environment without the pedagogical agent have significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. While there hasn?t been any significant difference between the two groups in terms of pretest and posttest scores, the students stated that the learning environment with the pedagogical agent was enjoyable.
