Özet

Öğretmen merkezli ve öğrencilerin pasif dinleyiciler oldukları geleneksel öğretim yöntemlerinin aksine geliştirilen yeni yöntemler öğrencinin öğrenmede çok aktif olması gerektiğini savunur. Yeni öğrenme yaklaşımlarında ezbere bilgiden kaçınılması, öğrencilere verilen bilgilerin önceden sahip oldukları bilgilerle birleştirilmesi ve öğrencilerin öğrenmeye aktif katılımının sağlanmaya çalışılması amaçlandığı için, özellikle soyut fen kavramlarının somutlaştırılmasında ve öğrencilere zengin ve kendilerinin yapabilecekleri öğrenme etkinliklerinin sunulmasında teknoloji destekli eğitimden yararlanılabilir.Bu çalışmanın amacı, fen eğitiminde bilgisayar destekli öğretim yönteminin ilköğretim 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarı, bilimsel süreç becerileri ve bilgisayar kullanmaya yönelik tutuma etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma, yarı deneysel bir çalışma olup, ön test- son test kontrol gruplu desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya deney (N=64) ve kontrol (N=64) gruplarının denk olduğu toplam 136 öğrenci katılmıştır. Çalışmada, ?Maddenin Tanecikli Yapısı? ünitesindeki konuların öğretiminde deney grubunda bilgisayar destekli öğretim yöntemi uygulanırken, kontrol grubunda geleneksel yaklaşım izlenmiştir.Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak akademik başarı testi, bilimsel süreç becerileri testi ve bilgisayar tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırma hipotezlerini test etmek için, veri toplama bağımlı ve bağımsız gruplar için t-testi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda; bilgisayar destekli öğretim yönteminin öğrencilerin akademik başarı üzerinde geleneksel öğretim yöntemlerine göre daha etkili olduğu, bilimsel süreç becerilerini geliştirdiği ve bilgisayara yönelik tutumu olumlu yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir.

On the contrary to the traditional teaching methods, which is teacher centered curriculum and containing passive listening students, the new developed methods defend that students must be very active while learning. In the new learning styles, it is aimed to avoid learning by heart. The aim is to combine the students? previous knowledge with the new knowledge and make the students join the learning process actively. Therefore, in concreting abstract science concepts and presenting students rich and learning activities, it is suggested constructive to make use of technological developed education.The aim of the study is to test the effects of computer based learning method on the achievement, science process skills and computer attitude by making comparison between this method and conventional approaches in 6th grade science and technology lessons. The search, being an experimental study, pre-test and post-test group controlled pattern were used 128 students in total, in which experimental (N=64) and control (N=64) groups are equal- joined the search. Within the search while observing the unit of ?The Particulate Nature of Matter? with computer based learning of the experimental group, conventional approaches were observed in the controlling group.In the study, as the data accumulating tool ?achievement test?, ?scientific process skill test? and ?computer attitude test? were applied. The data accumulated to search the hypothesis were analyzed by using t-test for the dependent and independent groups. After the analysis made in the computer based learning approach, It was clearly seen that science training affected the students? achievement positively, improved scientific process skills and effected positive.
