Özet
Deri sanayi, ihracat potansiyeli açısından Türkiye ekonomisinin en dinamik sektörlerinden birisidir. Sektör, sahip olduğu tecrübe, rekabet gücü, üretim kapasitesi ile dünyanın en gelişmiş deri sanayisi olmayı başarmıştır. Toplam imalat sanayi üretimi içinde, bavul ticaretinde katılmasıyla, yüzde 10'un üzerinde bir paya sahip olan Türk deri sanayi, toplam istihdam içerisindeki yüzde 1,5'lik ve toplam ülke ihracatı içerisinde yüzde 1,3'lük payı ile, tüm sanayi sektörleri arasında 10. büyük sanayidir. Esasen, üretim ve ihracat kapasitesi olarak daha fazla paya sahip olması gerekirken potansiyelini yeterli oranda yansıtamayan Türk deri sektörünün ihracatında son iki yıldır ciddi bir durgunluk yaşanmaktadır. Sektörün ihracatında yaşanan bu durgunluk üretim ve kapasite kullanım oranlarının seyrinde de kendini göstermektedir. Bavul ticareti de göz önüne alındığında Türkiye'nin deri ürünleri ihracatında en önemli pazar Rusya Federasyonu'dur. Rusya Federasyonu ham deri ihracatçısı durumunda olmasına karşılık Rusya'da havaların genelde yıl boyunca soğuk geçmesi ile alakadar olarak hazır deri ürünlerinin en büyük ithalatçılarından biri olmaktadır. Türkiye ise ham deri ithal ederek hazır deri ürünleri ihraç etmektedir. Özellikle Rusya Türkiye'den kürk ve deri giysi ithal emektedir. Bu tezin amacı, Türk deri sektörünün mevcut durumu ve dünya ticareti içindeki yerinin tespiti, sektörün ihracatı açısından büyük önem taşıyan Rusya pazarının incelenmesi, Türkiye ve Rusya deri sektörlerinin karşılaştırmalı analizini yapmaktır.

Leather industry is one of the most dynamic sectors of Turkey in terms of export potential. Sector has become the most developed leather sector in the wolrd thanks to experiency, competation power and production capacity of Turkish industry . Turkish leather sectory, including shuttle trade, is tenth big industry with 10 percent share in total production industry, 1,5 percent in total employment and 1,3 percent in the total export share of country. There is serious stagnation in the export of Turkish leather sector which is not practice own potential in sufficient ratio for last two years, whereas it must take more share because of production and export capacity of sector. This stagnation appeared in the sector also effects on production and capasity usage rate. Russia Federation is the most significant market of Turkish leather goods, with adding shuttle trade. Despite Russia Federation is in the position of exporter of raw skins and hides, it is one of the biggest importers of leather productsn in the world. Turkey imports raw skins but export leather products. Specially Russia imports from Turkey leather and fur products. The purpose of this thesis is to determine present position of Turkish leather sector and its place in world leather trade; to examine Russia market, which plays vital importance in Turkish leather sector and do comparing analysis of Turkey and Russia leather sector.
