Özet
Bu araştırmada ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan sınıf ve branş öğretmenlerinin geleneksel denetim modelinin başarı ve performanslarına etkisini algılama düzeylerinin-geleneksel denetim modelini nasıl algıladıklarının ortaya konması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma İstanbul ili Kartal ilçesinde 450 sınıf ve branş öğretmeni, 12 okul yöneticisi ve 6 eğitim deneticisi üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada evrenin tamamına ulaşılamadığından evreni temsilen random (tesadüfi) yöntemi ile 450 sınıf ve branş öğretmeni seçilmiştir. Demografik özellikler yazar tarafından geliştirilen bir kişisel bilgi formu ile tespit edilmiştir. Algılama özelliklerine ulaşılmak için yazar tarafından geliştirilen deneme uygulamaları ve uzman önerileri ile istatistiki olarak geçerliliği ve güvenirliği sınanan ?öğretmenlerin denetim modeli algısı? anketi kullanılmıştır.Araştırmada, değişkenlerin süreksiz olması nedeniyle ve normal dağılım özelliği göstermeyen dağılımlar için non-parametrik teknikler kullanılmıştır. Bu yönüyle veri analizi için frekans - yüzde hesabı ve ki-kare analizi kullanılmıştır.Bu araştırmanın sonuçlarıyla Kartal ilçesi resmi ilköğretim okullarında görevli sınıf ve branş öğretmenlerinin geleneksel denetim modelini benimsemedikleri, bu denetim modelini kendi performanslarına katkı sunmaz bir yapı olarak algıladıkları ve değişmesi gerektiği düşüncesini benimsedikleri ortaya konmuştur. Geleneksel denetim modelini algılama özelliklerinin, öğretmenlerin kişisel özelliklerine göre bir değişiklik göstermediği ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, gelir düzeyi, mezuniyet gibi kişisel özelliklerle algılama düzeyleri ve özelikleri arasında anlamlı bir korelasyon saptanmıştır.

This study aimed to present the primary and secondary school teachers? level of perceiving the effect of the traditional supervision model on their achievement and performance ? how they perceive the traditional supervision model. The study was implemented 450 primary and secondary school teachers, 12 school directors and 6 education supervisors in Kartal District of Istanbul Province. Due to the fact that the whole population cannot be accessed, 450 primary and secondary school teachers representing the population were selected by random method. Demographical characteristics were ascertained with a personal inquiry form developed by the author. In order to access the perception characteristics, a survey of ?teachers? perception of supervision model? which was developed by the author and whose statistical validity and reliability were tested through test applications and expert advice and in order to support the survey results and improve the results and advices supervisor and director interview forms were used.In the study non-parametric techniques were used owing to the discrete variables and for the distributions not showing normal distribution quality. In this respect data was analyzed using frequency and percentage and chi square analysis.Results of the study showed that the primary and secondary school teachers serving at official primary schools in Kartal District doesn?t embrace the traditional supervision model and they perceive this supervision model as a system not contributing their own performance and take the view that this supervision model ought to be altered. It was presented that the characteristics of perceiving the traditional supervision model don?t show an alteration according to the personal characteristics of the teachers. A meaningful correlation wasn?t determined between the level of perception and personal characteristics, such as sex, length of service, level of income and graduation.
