Özet
Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin anlam bilgisi konularındaki başarı durumlarına çeşitli değişkenlerin etkisi ortaya konmuştur. Ayrıca, öğretmenlerin 2005 Türkçe programındaki temel yaklaşım olan yapılandırmacı yaklaşımın anlam bilgisi konularına olan katkılarıyla ilgili görüşleri, anlam bilgisi konularının öğretiminde yaşanılan sıkıntılar, kitaplarda yer alan etkinliklerin anlam bilgisi konularının kavratılmasındaki etkisi ve soyut kavramların öğretiminde kullanılan yöntemler tespit edilmiştir.Araştırmanın örneklemini, 2007-2008 eğitim öğretim yılında Erzurum ilinde farklı ilköğretim okullarında öğrenim gören 708 6. sınıf öğrencisi ve bu okullarda görev yapan 36 Türkçe öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, OKS Türkçe soruları, bu sınavı uygulayan kurumların internet sitesinden alınarak incelenmiştir. Bu sorulardan 6. sınıf düzeyine uygun anlam bilgisi konularıyla ilgili olanlar seçilerek geliştirilen ?Türkçe Testi?, araştırmacı tarafından 2005 Türkçe programına uygun şekilde etkinliklerle oluşturulmuş ?Yazılı Sınav?, örneklemdeki 6. sınıf öğrencilerine uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca, araştırmada kullanılan bağımsız değişkenlerin öğrencilerin anlam bilgisi konularındaki başarılarıyla olan ilişkilerini tespit etmek amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ?Kişisel Bilgi Anketi?, örneklemi oluşturan 6. sınıf öğrencilerine; öğretmenlerin anlam bilgisi konularının öğretiminde yaşadıkları sıkıntıları tespit etmek ve çözüm önerileri sunmak amacıyla 5'li likert tipi ölçek kullanılarak oluşturulan ?Öğretmen Bilgi Anketi?, örneklem olarak alınan 6. sınıf Türkçe öğretmenlerine uygulanmıştır.Uygulanan anketler, test ve yazılı sınav, araştırmada kullanılan bağımsız değişkenlere göre değerlendirilmiş ve elde edilen bulgular yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ışığında, öğrencilerin başarısının bu değişkenlere göre istatiksel açıdan anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir. Yine elde edilen verilere göre, öğretmenlerin yeni programın temelini oluşturan yapılandırmacı yaklaşım konusuyla ilgili yeterli bilgilerinin olmadığı, anlam bilgisi konularının öğretiminde farklı yöntem ve teknikleri kullandıkları tespit edilmiştir.

This study put forward the effect of different variable on the success level of 6th graders on the subject matters of semantics. Besides, this study determined teachers? views of the contributions of the constructivist approach, the basic approach in the Turkish curriculum in 2005, to the subject matters of semantics. This study also determined the problems experienced in the teaching of the subject matters of semantics, the effect of activities on the books on students? comprehension of subject matters of semantics, and the methods used in teaching the abstract concepts.The sample of the study was constituted by 708 sixth graders from different elementary schools and 36 teachers of Turkish language who also work in these schools. The Turkish questions in OKS (High school entrance examination in Turkey) analyzed in our research were taken from the web sites of the institutions which administer this test.The tests administered to all the 6th graders in the sample were a ?Turkish test? developed by selecting the questions which were both related to the subject matters of semantics course suitable for the level of 6th grade and the essay-type test constructed with activities suitable for the Turkish curriculum in 2005.Besides, ?personal Knowledge Questionnaire? developed by the researcher was administered to 6th graders in order to determine the relation between the independent variables of the research and the success of students on the subject matters of semantics. ?Teacher questionnaire? constructed with a likert scale of 1-5 in order to determine problems teachers experienced in teaching subject matters of semantics and propose solutions was administered to the 6th graders? Turkish teachers which were taken as a sample.Questionnaries administered, and the test and essay-type questions were evaluated based on the independent variables used in the study, and the findings obtained were interpreted. In the light of the data obtained, the students? success was found to be statistically significant based on these variables. According to the data obtained, it was determined that teachers didnot have adequate knowledge about the constructivist approach, the basis of the new curriculum, and they used different methods and techniques used in teaching the subject matters of semantics.
