Özet

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, ilköğretim 6. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında yer alan demokrasi ve insan haklarına ilişkin sözlü ve sözsüz iletileri öğretmen görüşlerine göre analiz ederek ortaya koymaktır. Aynı zamanda bu çalışmada sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarının demokrasi ve insan hakları eğitimi açısından nasıl olması gerektiği de belirtilmiştir.Bu çalışmanın araştırma evrenini, 2008- 2009 eğitim öğretim yılında Aydın iline bağlı ilköğretim okullarında sosyal bilgiler dersini yürüten bütün sosyal bilgiler öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise 76 sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır.Araştırmada elde edilen nicel veriler için ?İlköğretim 6. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Ders Kitabı Değerlendirme Formu ? araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanarak kullanılmıştır. ?İlköğretim 6. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Ders Kitabı Değerlendirme Formu?nun güvenilirlik katsayısı ?=,9471 olarak bulunmuştur. Aynı zamanda değerlendirme formu ?Ayrımcılığa İlişkin İletiler, Birey Hakları ve Devlet İlişkisine Yönelik İletiler, Toplumsal Kurum, Kavram ve Değerlere İlişkin İletiler? olmak üzere 3 boyuttan oluşmaktadır.Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesi sürecinde frekans, yüzde, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, t-testi ve Kruskal Wallis Testi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel çözümlemelerde anlamlılık düzeyi (p<.05) olarak kabul edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler tablolar aracılığıyla açıklanmıştır.Araştırmada şu bulgulara ulaşılmıştır:Sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin ilköğretim 6. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında yer alan demokrasi ve insan haklarına ilişkin sözlü ve sözsüz iletiler ile ilgili görüşleri,1.Genel anlamda ?katılıyorum? düzeyindedir.2.Ölçeğin ?Ayrımcılığa İlişkin İletiler? boyutuna göre genel anlamda ?katılmıyorum? düzeyindedir.3.Ölçeğin ?Birey Hakları ve Devlet İlişkisine Yönelik İletiler? boyutuna göre genel anlamda ?katılmıyorum? düzeyindedir.4.Ölçeğin ?Toplumsal Kurum, Kavram ve Değerlere İlişkin İletiler? boyutuna göre genel anlamda ?katılıyorum? düzeyindedir.5.Ölçeğin her bir boyutuna (ayrımcılığa, toplumsal kurum, kavram ve değerlere, birey hakları ve devlet ilişkisine yönelik iletiler) göre; öğretmenlerin cinsiyet durumu bakımından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir.6.Ölçeğin her bir boyutuna (ayrımcılığa, toplumsal kurum, kavram ve değerlere, birey hakları ve devlet ilişkisine yönelik iletiler) göre; öğretmenlerin mezun olduğu alan durumu bakımından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir.7.Ölçeğin her bir boyutuna (ayrımcılığa, toplumsal kurum, kavram ve değerlere, birey hakları ve devlet ilişkisine yönelik iletiler) göre; öğretmenlerin kıdem durumu bakımından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermektedir.8.Ölçeğin her bir boyutuna (ayrımcılığa, toplumsal kurum, kavram ve değerlere, birey hakları ve devlet ilişkisine yönelik iletiler) göre; öğretmenlerin sendikaya üye olup olmama durumu bakımından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir.9.Ölçeğin her bir boyutuna (ayrımcılığa, toplumsal kurum, kavram ve değerlere, birey hakları ve devlet ilişkisine yönelik iletiler) göre; öğretmenlerin üye olduğu sendika durumu bakımından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir.10.Ölçeğin her bir boyutuna (ayrımcılığa, toplumsal kurum, kavram ve değerlere, birey hakları ve devlet ilişkisine yönelik iletiler) göre; öğretmenlerin çalıştıkları okulların bulunduğu yerin durumu (merkez, ilçe, köy) bakımından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir.ANAHTAR SÖZCÜKLERİlköğretim, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmeni, Sosyal Bilgiler Ders Kitabı, Demokrasi, İnsan Hakları

Main purpose of this study is to discover verbal and unverbal transmittings related to democracy and human rights which are found in primary school 6th class social science book through an analysis with teachers? opinions. At the same time, at the study it?s emphasized how the social science books are needed to be from the angle of democracy and human rights education.Research range of this study is composed by all the social science teachers employed at primary schools in Aydın district in the course of 2008- 2009 education year. Sampling of the study is composed by 76 social science teachers.?Primary School 6th Class Social Science Book Evaluation Form? was used for the quantitative data obtained with the research after being prepared by the researcher. Reliabilty coefficient of Primary School 6th Class Social Science Book Evaluation Form was calculated ?=,9471. Meanwhile, the evaluation form consists of 3 dimensions such as ?The Transmittings Relating To Discrimination, The Transmittings Relating To Human Rights And The State Relation, The Transmittings Relating To Social İnstituation, Conception And Values?.During the process of analysing the data optained in the study, frequency, percent, arithmetic average, standart deviation, t-test and test of Kruskal Wallis had been used. Significance level in statistical analyses carried out was accepted (p<.05). Data obtained are explained with tables.Following findings were reached after the research:Social science teachers?opinions related to the verbal and unverbal transmittings relating to democracy and human rights which are found in primary school 6th class social science book,1.Are typically at ?I agree? level.2.Are typically at ?I don?t agree? level according to dimension of ? The Transmittings Relating To Discrimination".3.Are typically at ?I don?t agree? level according to dimension of ?The Transmittings Relating To Human Rights And The State Relation?.4.Are typically at ?I agree? level according to dimension of ?The Transmittings Relating To Social İnstituation, Conception And Values?.5.According to each dimensions of the scale (the transmittings relating to discrimination, the transmittings relating to human rights and the state relation, the transmittings relating to social instituation, conception and values) don?t show significant variance in terms of branch teachers sex.6.According to each dimensions of the scale (the transmittings relating to discrimination, the transmittings relating to human rights and the state relation, the transmittings relating to social instituation, conception and values) don?t show significant variance in terms of branch from which teachers graduated.7.According to each dimensions of the scale (the transmittings relating to discrimination, the transmittings relating to human rights and the state relation, the transmittings relating to social instituation, conception and values) show significant variance in terms of seniority status of teachers.8.According to each dimensions of the scale (the transmittings relating to discrimination, the transmittings relating to human rights and the state relation, the transmittings relating to social instituation, conception and values) don?t show significant variance in terms of teachers are or aren?t a member of syndicate.9.According to each dimensions of the scale (the transmittings relating to discrimination, the transmittings relating to human rights and the state relation, the transmittings relating to social instituation, conception and values) don?t show significant variance in terms of the situation of syndicate which teachers are members of.10.According to each dimensions of the scale (the transmittings relating to discrimination, the transmittings relating to human rights and the state relation, the transmittings relating to social instituation, conception and values) don?t show significant variance in terms of the situation of place (center, district, village) which the schools that teachers are working are located.KEY WORDSPrimary Education, Social Science Teacher, Social Science Book, Democracy, Human Rights
