SUMMARY The subject of thesis is on investigation and criticism of a scholar, native of Kazan Musa Crullah Bigiyef's work named“Hatun”. In the first chapter the author deals with the understanding of women in various religions and litarary traditions. The main topics that are dealt with in the thesis are as follows The social rights of woman, her standing in the family, her freedom of of work and her political freedom, ter economic freedom; the problem of womans marriege and divorce, the issues of poligamy, inheritence and the status of being a witness, in the last chapter together with the pro bier of veiling are discussed. la his book Musa Garullah has mainly based his thoughts and proofs on the Qur'an but he has referred to hadith and other works as the sources of his work. In addition, another distinction of Musa Carullah is that very well acquainted with the content of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament, Due to this fact, when the occasion arises he qoutes from these sources and this s to reflect the problem of woman from the point Heavenly Religions. Musa Carullah does not view the issue of woman as do the classic scholars» While dealing with the subject he employs a method peculiar to him o In short, in his book he concludes that woman is equal to man witi respect to rights, it can be concluded that he gives more freedom to worn; as a human being than do the classical scholars. tc wm&tmBtm*®^^
