SUMMARY THE MAGIC IN HADITS AND THE NATURE OF MAGIC My dissertation consists of four sections: The development of magic throuphout history; the core of magic; the magic in hadiths and the magic in Koran. On the introduction section I dealt with the histroical process of magic. This section explains the preiod of magic occurrence; magic in Jew and the viewpoint of the old Testament and magic in Christianity. On the first section I examined the definition and usage of magic. I scrutinized also the core of magic; its effect; its treatment; its kinds and its pschological effect. I mentiont the views of those who are for or againts the existence of magic. I revealde the viewpoint of Koran and its versions about magic. Apart from this, I commented the 102nd version of Bakara according to the sources. On the second section I took the words of the exalted Mohammad with their translations. I also assessed some of those hadiths. Furthermore, exalted Mohammad was made magic upon. On the third section I looked upon the law side of magic. I tried to conclude in my research about magic's core according hadiths and gave those sources that I used to seorch the matter in bibliography section. 95
