108 ABSTRACT Gökçe, Erten.“A Survey of Responsibilities and Behaviors of Teachers in Curriculum development Process at High School Level”Master Thesis. (Advisor: Assoc. Prof.Dr. Suat PEKTAŞ), Ankara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Ankara. May, 1993. The general purpose of the study is to determine the views about the curriculum development processes upon duties and attitudes of school executives and teachers at the level of high school. This research has been carried out within a year period. At the initial stage of project execution, nationally and internationally published relevant documents were rewived and then as a result of careful examination of several investigations on teacher's attitudes, the project development stage was attained and data collection means were developed. Among high schools of Ankara, 15 high schools were choosen depending on the curriculum they followed. 50 executives and 150 teachers who are employed in these schools and who instruct in two different subject (Turkish (language), Social Sciences, Mathematics and Science) were selected as mentioned in methology section of this study. Information that were derived from questionaires given to the school executives and teachers and that are related to the basic knowledge on the curriculum development were initially, grouped and tabulated.
