Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin bağlanma stilleri, duygusal zekâ düzeyleri ve empatik eğilimlerinin bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir.Bu çalışma betimsel yöntem kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma, amacına uygun olarak 2009-2010 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz döneminde Muğla il merkezindeki resmî okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında çalışan 500 okul öncesi öğretmeni (489 kadın; 11 erkek) ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırmada Bilgi Toplama Formu, İlişki Ölçekleri Anketi, Bar-On Duygusal Zekâ Ölçeği ve Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veri analizleri için SPSS/ WINDOWS 14.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Cinsiyetler arası farkı belirlemek için `Mann-Whitney U testi', aldıkları puanlarının cinsiyete göre; kıdeme ve yaşa göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek amacıyla `Kruskal Wallis testi' kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca, bağlanma stilleri ve duygusal zekâ puanlarının empatik eğilim düzeylerinin, yordamasına ilişkin ise aşamalı çoklu regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır.Araştırma bulgularından okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin kıdem, yaş ve cinsiyet değişkenlerine göre bağlanma stilleri, duygusal zekâ alt boyutları ve empatik eğilimleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılaşma tespit edilmiştir. Kıdem ve cinsiyet değişkenine göre bağlanma stilleri alt boyutları, duygusal zekâ alt boyutları ve empatik eğilimlerinin puanlarında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Kadın okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin erkek meslektaşlarına göre daha yüksek düzeyde empatik eğilim puanlarına sahip oldukları görülmüştür. Yaş değişkenine göre; bağlanma stillerinin alt boyutları arasında en çok kayıtsız bağlanma boyutu puanlarında; duygusal zekâ alt boyutlarından ise en fazla `kişisel boyut' puanlarında ve empatik eğilim düzeylerinde anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşma saptanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları, önceki bulgular ışığında bağlanma stilleri, duygusal zekâ ve empatik eğilim kapsamında, başka araştırma ve uygulamalara da yol gösterecek bağlamda tartışılmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to investigate attachment styles, emotional intelligence level and emphatic tendency of the pre-school teachers in relation to some variables.The study was carried out by using descriptive method. In line with the purpose of the study, the study was carried out among the 500 pre-school teachers (489 females and 11 males) working in primary schools in Muğla city in 2009-2010 school year.In the study, Personal Information Form, Relationship Scales Questionnaire, Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Measurement Scale and Emphatic Disposition Scale were used as data collection tools. The data were analyzed through SPSS/ WINDOWS 14.0 program package. Some tests were conducted to determine the differences caording to gender. Mann-Whitney U test was used to test whether the scores obtained vary significantly depending on the gender and Kruskal Wallis test was used to test whether the scores vary depending on the length of service and age. Moreover, in order to interpret the Attachment Styles and Emotional Intelligence Scores and Empathy Tendency regression analysis was employed.The findings of the study revealed that there are significant differences among the attachment styles, sub-dimensions of emotional intelligence and empathic dispositions based on the length of service, age and gender. Moreover, significant differences based on the length of service and gender variables were found among the attachment styles and sub-dimensions of emotional intelligence and empathic tendency. It was found that the female participants have higher level of empathic tendency when compared to their male colleagues. According to age variable, most significant variations among the sub-dimensions of attachment styles were observed for unrestricted attachment, and among the sub-dimensions of emotional intelligence for personal dimensions scores and emphatic tendency scores.The findings of the study were discussed in light of the previous findings reported in the literature in such a way as to provide guidance for further studies within the context of Attachment Styles, Emotional Intelligence and Empathic Tendency.
