Özet
Bir dilin genel kelimelerden ayrılan, o dil içinde çeşitli meslek, sanat ve bilim dallarıyla ilgili kavramları karşılayan terimler, eğitim ve öğretimde oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Terimler, içinde yoğunlaştırılmış anlam yükü olan kelimelerdir. Konuların öğretimi terimler aracılığıyla gerçekleşmektedir. Gerek eğitim öğretimde, gerekse bilimsel araştırmalarda herhangi bir bilgiye ulaşmak için ihtiyaç duyduğumuz ve karşılaştığımız terimlerin, sağlam yapılı ve amaçlanan bilgiyi çağrıştıracak nitelikte olması şarttır. Ayrıca terimlerin amaca hizmet edebilmesi için üzerinde uzlaşılan kelimeler olması gereklidir.Terimler, bilimsel araştırmanın araçları ve bilginler arasında anlaşmayı sağlayan dildir. Terimlerden yoksun bir dil düşünülemez. Bilimin geliştiği, ilerlediği her gün terimlerde gelişir, yerleşir ve anlamları netleşir. Bilimin ilerlemesine terimler ayak uydurmak ve onu takip etmek zorundadır. Terimle bilimin beraber yürümediği bir bilimsel gelişmeden bahsedilemez.Çalışmamızın temel amacı, tarihi süreçte ve özellikle modern dönemde türetilen terimlerin incelenmesidir. Ayrıca Arapçanın medenî, bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmeler sonucu artan terim ihtiyacını karşılama potansiyeli üzerinde durulmuştur. Arapçanın sözcük geliştirme yolları irdelenmiştir.

Terms that separate the general words of a language, reflects the concepts of various vocations, art and science areas in the language have an important place in education and instruction. Terms are words with condensed meaning. The teaching of subjects is done by terms. The terms which we face and need when we try to gain information not only in education and instruction but also in scientific researches have to be in firm structure and must associate the eligibility of the required knowledge. Also for the term to function for the aim they must be generally accepted.Scientific terms is research instrument and language of understanding between scientists. There is no science without word forms making for it. A day which science is promoting and moving forward, its terms is growing, and his words is knocking and its meaning is determined. İf the science is in the course steadily, and his sustained, its terms must be dogged the relay, walk with it. A scientific renaissance can not be achieved without linguistic renaissance linguistic keeping with it side by side.Our main objective is to study the development of scientific vocabulary in Arabic throughout ist history, with special emphasis on the phenomen in the modern times. We also aim to examine and assess the capacity of the language to cope with the ever-increasing demands of human civilization, scientific and techonological advances, and social and cultural development. Anathor objective is to underline and highlight the potential of Arabic for self-enrichment, and its natural tendencies for growht and development. This, of course, entails a careful study of the morphological properties and word-formational process characteristic of the language.
