Özet

Araştırmanın genel amacı ilköğretim 6. sınıf fen ve teknoloji dersi öğretim programı ünite konularına yönelik bilimsel süreç becerilerini ölçen geçerli ve güvenilir `6. Sınıflara Yönelik Bilimsel Süreç Becerileri Testi (BSBT-6)' geliştirmektir. Ayrıca alt amaç olarak, BSBT-6 puanlarının okul fen ve teknoloji dersi notları, dershaneye kayıtlı olma durumları, cinsiyet, anne- baba eğitim durumları ve kaynak kullanımları arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır.Bu amaç kapsamında, çoktan seçmeli 60 soruluk bir soru havuzu oluşturmuştur. Kapsam geçerliliği için uzman görüşü alınmış ve uzmanların görüşleri doğrultusunda 50 soruluk bir test ile pilot uygulamaya geçilmiştir. Pilot uygulama örneklemden farklı ve Çanakkale Merkez ilçede bulunan 57 ilköğretim 6. sınıf öğrencisi ile yürütülmüş ve ardından madde analizi, yapı geçerliğini kontrol için faktör analizi ve güvenirlik için iç tutarlık analizi yapılmıştır.Madde analizi ardından güçlük indeksi 0.6'dan küçük, ayırt ediciliği 0.2'den büyük 8 soru testten çıkarılmıştır. Yapılan faktör analizi sonucunda birden fazla faktörde yüksek yük değerine sahip olan 8 madde testten çıkarılmış ve son halde testte kalan 34 maddenin teste ilişkin varyansın %71.45'ini açıklayan 10 faktör altında toplandığı görülmüştür. Asıl uygulama öncesi yapılan eşdeğer yarılar analizi sonuçlarına göre formlar arası korelasyon 0.843 ve KR 20 katsayısı 0.879 olarak saptanmıştır.Asıl uygulama, Çanakkale Merkez ilçede bulunan 3 ilköğretim okulunda 175 tane 6. sınıf öğrencisi ile yürütülmüştür. Örneklem içerisinde yer alan 40 kişiye ayrıca ölçüt bir test uygulanmıştır ve bu grubun BSBT-6 puanları ile ölçüt puanları arasındaki korelasyon 0.727 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca testin iç tutarlılığına tekrar bakılmış ve formlar arası korelasyon 0.729 ve iki kısım için de genel alfa değeri 0.74 olarak bulunmuştur.Ayrıca, BSBT-6 puanlarının okul fen ve teknoloji dersi notlarına, dershaneye kayıtlı olma durumlarına, cinsiyete ve anne-baba eğitim durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği saptanmıştır (p.05), sadece ek kitap kullanımına göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği bulunmuştur.

The main goal of this study is to develop a valid and reliable `Science Process Skills Test For 6th Graders (BSBT-6)? which regards the units of the elementary 6th grade science and technology program and assesses the science process skills. Moreover, the relationship between BSBT-6 points and school science and technology course grades, being registered to a private school offering specialized courses, gender, parents? educational status and the usage of some resources (course book, additional book, journals, internet and CD/DVD) were investigated as minor aims.Within the scope these aims, an item pool including 60 multiple choice test items was prepared. To ensure the content validity, reviews of the experts were taken and according to their feedbacks, questions were revised and 10 questions were eliminated. And then pilot application was conducted with 57 elementary 6th graders, and item analyses, factor analyses for construct validity and internal consistency reliability analyses were conducted.Consistent with the results of item analyses, 8 items which have a difficulty index of lower than 0.6 and a discrimination index of lower than 0.2 were extracted from the test. In addition, according to the results of factor analyses 8 items were extracted from the test. Remain 34 items fell under the 10 factors which explain the 71.45% of the total variance. The internal consistency analyses showed that KR-20 coefficient of the final test is 0.879 and also split half model results showed that the correlation of forms is 0.843.The main application was conducted with 175 elementary 6th grade students in the center of Çanakkale. In addition, a criteria test was applied to 40 of this 175 students and the correlation coefficient between the BSBT-6 scores and criteria scores of this group was found as 0.727. In addition, the final internal consistency analyses (split half) results showed that the correlation coefficient between forms is 0.729 and the general alpha coefficients for both halves are 0.74.Moreover, it was found that there is a significant difference in BSBT-6 scores according to school science and technology course grades, being registered to a private school offering specialized courses, gender, parents? educational status (p.05).
