Özet
Didim-Milas kıyı kuşağını içeren araştırma sahamız, Ege Bölgesi'nin güneyinde olup, idari bakımdan Aydın ilinin Didim ilçesi ile Muğla ilinin Milas ilçesi sınırları içerisinde yer almaktadır.Didim ve Milas ilçelerinde, 1980'lerin ikinci yarısından itibaren gelişen turizm aktivitesi ile birlikte beşeri ve ekonomik açıdan önemli değişimler yaşanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bir yandan araştırma sahasına yönelik iç ve dış turizm talebi her geçen gün artarken, öte yandan arz kaynakları çeşitlenmekte ve kapasite olarak büyümektedir. Araştırma sahasında farklı turizm türleri açısından oldukça önemli potansiyeller söz konudur. Nitekim başta kıyı turizmi olmak üzere kültür turizmi, ekoturizm, kırsal turizm, termal turizm, mağara turizmi ve golf turizmi gibi alternatif turizm aktiviteleri açısından oldukça elverişli ortamlar mevcuttur. Sözü edilen turizm türlerine yönelik yatırım ve etkinlikler, her geçen gün artmaktadır.Araştırma sahası, doğal ve beşeri turistik kaynaklar bakımından oldukça zengindir ve bu açıdan yoğun turistik aktivitelere sahne olmaktadır. Her geçen gün artan turizm baskısı, hem doğal çevre hem de hem de beşeri çevre üzerinde dikkate değer tesirler oluşturmaktadır. Bu nedenle sahamızdaki turizm faaliyetlerinin, doğal ve beşeri çevrenin taşıma kapasitesini aşmadan, uzun vadeli amaçlar doğrultusunda ve sağlıklı bir turizm-doğal çevre etkileşimi öngörüsüyle, sürdürülebilir bir şekle kavuşturulması büyük önem arz etmektedir. Buna yönelik çalışmaların ivedilikle ve planlı bir şekilde sürdürülmesinin, inceleme sahasındaki turizm aktivitesinin geleceği açısından oldukça önemli olduğu kanısındayız.

Our study area which involves Didim-Milas coastal zone is on the East of Aegean Region and administratively on the borders of Didim district of Aydın and Milas district of Muğla.There have been important changes in terms of human and economic with the tourism activity which has been developed since the second period of 1980s in the districts of Didim and Milas. In this context, on the one hand internal and external tourism demand directed to the study area has been increasing day by day, on the other hand offer sources have been varied and its capacity has been grown. There are important potentials in terms of various tourism types on the study area. However, there are pretty suitable environments in terms of alternative tourism activities such as especially coast tourism, culture tourism, ecotourism, rural tourism, thermal tourism, cave tourism and golf tourism. Investment and activities directed to the mentioned tourism types have been increasing day by day.The study area is quite rich in terms of natural and human touristic sources and in this respect it has intense touristic activities. The tourism pressure which has been increasing day by day, has notable effects on both natural and human environment. Therefore, it is important that tourism activities on our study area should be formed sustainable, with a vision of proper tourism and nature interaction and in line with long dated aims without exceeding the bearing capacity of natural and human environment. We think that instant and planned continuity of studies directed to this are very important in terms of the future of tourism activities on the study area.
