Özet
SUMMARY The subject of this thesis is the correlation between productivity and quality of working life in industrial works. Precedence is given to the productivity concept, with theorical description and models in concern with its measurement, management, control, and increase. Consequently, stress is given to the quality of working life, with the effort to explain the theorical limits between this concept and productivity. The final part of the thesis is a field research on this theorical basis. The field research is conducted on 358 man, in four industrial works in metal sector with labour force over 100 workers. The result of the research indicated that the workforce perceived a very close correlation between the productivity increase and the physical conditions of the workplace, wage system, job satisfaction, job security, participation in decision making, and in-service training which are the parameters determining quality of working life. It is also found that there is a visible correlation between the quality of working life parameter job satisfaction and the wage system in the workplace, organization climate, physical conditions of the workplace, and in-service training. The suggestions of the workforce in concern 148with the Increase of their productivity were, according to priority, satisfactory wage system, maintenance of job security, participation in decision making, and building of positive relations in working environment. There reached the point of view that these suggestions are in quality to support the results of the research. 149
