With the study called Bodrum with its social, political and economic aspects from 1923 to 1960, the social and economic structure during the period mentioned was profoundly studied.The study consists of five chapters with the introduction part. İn introduction, the history of Bodrum from Ancient times to Independence wartime has been shortly mentioned. In the first chapter, administrative structure and population of Bodrum in the late times of Otoman Empire and Republican times has been analysed. In chapter two social and political history of Bodrum has been studied. Then in the third chapter, educationel and cultural life of Bodrum from the end of the 19th century to the 1960s has been researched. Eventullay in the last chapter agriculture, stockbreeding, trading, tourism and industry has been analysed elaborately. İNGİLİZCE
