Özet
ÖZET Bu çalışmada, 2-hidroksi-l-naftaldehit ' in ve Sali- sil aldehit ' in sübstitüe anilinler ile reaksiyonundan Schiff bazları sentezlenmiştir. Bu Schiff bazlarının I.R. U.V. (Etanol) ve N.M.R. spektrumları alınmıştır. Daha sonra da Schiff bazlarının Co (II) asetat ve Cd (II) asetat ile reaksiyonları incelenmiştir. Kompleks lerin yapıları I.R. ve U.V. spektrumları ile aydınlatıl maya çalışılmıştır. Uygun çözücü bulunamadığından N.M.R. spektrumları alınamamıştır. Komplekslerin ve Schiff bazlarının I.R. spektrumarı karşılaştırılmış HC=N- absorpsiyonundaki kaymalar incelenmiştir.

VI SUMMARY In this work, the Schiff bases were synthesised from the reaction of 2-hidroxy-l-naphtaldhyde and Salisi- laldhyde with substituted anilines. I.R., U.V. and N.M.R. spectra of these Schiff bases ere taken. Then the reaction of these Schiff bases with Co 'II) acetate and Cd (II) acetate were investigated. The struc tures of these complexes were tried to be identified with I.R. and U.V. spectra. Since the proper solvent could not be found, the N.M.R. spectra of the complexes couldn't be taken. Tha I.R. spectra of the complexes and the Schiff bases were compared, shifts in -HC= N- absorptions were investigated.
