Özet
Estetik, antik dönemden günümüze dek, insanlığın arayışlarla dolu üretim serüveninin en çok merak edilen, açıklanmaya çalışılan konularından birisi olmuştur. Platon'dan Baumgarten'e uzanan uzun bir dönemde adı konmaya çalışan estetik kavramı, çağlar boyunca coğrafi ve kültürel nedenlerle şekil değiştirse de, günümüzde bile çok tartışılan konuların başında gelmektedir. Bireysel ve toplumsal anlamada, zaman zaman Tin, ekonomi gibi farklı değerler üzerinden yanıt aranan estetik, yaratım sürecindeki en önemli yapı taşıdır. Bu anlamda bakıldığında, günümüz fotoğrafik üretimi bir ifade biçimi olarak seçen sanatçılar arasında özgünlüğüyle David LaChapelle kolayca öne çıkar. Amerikalı sanatçı David LaChapelle, fotoğrafı temel üretim modeli olarak benimsemiş ve daima özgün estetik anlayışın arayışında olmuştur. Henüz çok genç olmasına rağmen, radikal bir karar alarak evden kaçan LaChapelle'in yolunun, Pop Art'ın prensi Andy Warhol ile kesişmesinin, kendi estetiğini yaratma sürecinin en önemli yol ayrımı olduğunu, günümüzde özgün estetik anlayışıyla ortaya koyduğu üretimleri incelendiğinde kolayca fark ediliyor. Günümüze uyarlanan mitolojik, dini öyküler, gündelik sıradan yaşamsal nesnelerle bir arada sunulan fotoğraflar, teknik anlamda ulaşılmış mükemmeliyet, her seferinde izleyiciye şaşırtıcı ve sıra dışı bir deneyim sunmakta. Tarih boyunca bir takım sanatçılar belli estetik disiplinlerin peşinden koşsa da, bazı sanatçılar kendi estetiğini yaratmayı başarabilmiştir. Herhangi bir disiplinde, üretim sürecinin içinde yer alan bireyin temel meselesi olan estetik, özellikle günümüzde özgünlüğe ulaşılması zor bir auradır. Özellikle görsel üretim modellerinden biri ile kendi estetik anlayışını ortaya koymak isteyen, özgün olmak isteyen sanatçının yapıtı birçok anlamda izleyiciyi tatmin etmelidir. Görsel bombardımanlar yaşadığımız, imaj fırtınalarına maruz kaldığımızı günümüz gündelik yaşam modellerinde, özgün estetik egzotizmi tüm sanatçıların ulaşmak istediği bir mertebedir. David LaChapelle, yaşadığı kriz dönemleri, kırılma anları, aile ve çevre ilişkileri ile şekillenen estetik anlayışını ortak küresel kodlar yardımıyla izleyicilere sunar. Artık ismiyle özdeşleşen geniş ve parlak bir renk yelpazesiyle karşımıza çıkan eserlerinde, izleyici ve yapıt arasında köprü vazifesi görecek dini, mitolojik öyküler, klasik sanat eserleri sahneleri ve gündelik yaşam ikonları kullanır. Henüz yolun başındayken, Pop Art'ın en şaşalı dönemlerinde akıntının kaynağına kendini bırakarak çıktığı sanat yolculuğu, benzer çalışan çağdaşlarından belirgin şekilde sıyrılmasını ve kendi estetiğini oluşturmasını sağlamıştır. Aesthetics, from antiquity untill today, has always been one of the most curious issues to be explained in humanity's production adventure that is a full of exploration. Despite the concept of aesthetics has been altered from century to century mostly based on geographical and cultural reasons and tried to be named in a period from Pluton to Baumgarten, even today's most argued concept is still aesthetics itself. As the main stone of creation process, aesthetics has been tried to be identified over the values like spirituality and economy, within the boundries of individuality and sociality. From this aspect, David LaChapelle steps front with his authenticity among all the artists who have chosen the photographical production as their main expression path. LaChapelle, an american artist, has taken photography as his main production method and always searched for the authentic aesthetics understanding. Despite his young age, with a very radical decision, LaChapelle ran away from his birthland to the crosspath of the man who is the prince of pop art, Andy Warhol has affected him in his original aesthetics conception which can be seen cleary when his works are examined in details. An adaptation of mythological and religious stories, ordinary, everyday life objects presented together with photographs, has been reached in terms of technical excellence, enough to make the audience everytime surprised with an extraordinary experience of aesthetics. Even though some of the artists have chosen the path of seeking the regular aesthetic diciplinaries during the history, some of the artist have achived to create their own aesthetics conception. . In any discipline, individuals involved in the production process with the core issues of aesthetics, especially nowadays an aura of authenticity is hard to reach. Especially with one of the production model of visual aesthetics willing to put forth their own, many of the works of artists who want to be original in the sense that should satisfy viewers. During these days, visual bombardment in which we livein, we are all exposed to the storm of images everyday and keeping one's aesthetics conception in an exotic sense is what all the artists that want to reach. David LaChapelle offers his aesthetics understanding which is shaped by his crisis periods, breaking moments, family and community relationships within the global codes. Now, exemplified by the wide range of colors and a bright manifested in the works, he uses the nature of religious, mythological stories, classic works of art and everyday life scenes to serve as a bridge between the audience and the production piece (artwork). Just up the road in front of Pop Art's most splendiferous stream resource in times leaving himself out to ride the art, he stripped markedly from the similar employees of contemporary and has led him to create his own aesthetics.
