Özet
Bu çalışmada 5. Sınıf öğrencilerinin seçmeli bilim uygulamaları dersinde bilimsel süreç becerilerinin ve motivasyonlarının değişimi nitel açıdan incelenmiştir. Çalışma grubu ulaşılabilirlik dikkate alınarak seçilmiş ve öğrenci sayısının az olmasından dolayı nitel araştırma tercih edilmiştir. Seçmeli bilim uygulamaları dersi ilk kez uygulanıyor olması ve bu dersin bilim eğitimi açısından önemli görülmesi çalışmayı gözümüzde önemli kılmıştır. Çalışmada bilimsel motivasyon ve bilimsel süreç becerilerine yönelik, fen bilimleri dersinin paralelinde olan ve olmayan 126 etkinlik yapılmış bilimsel süreç becerileri (BSB) ne ait 32 kazanımı örneklendirmesi açısından 37 tanesi çalışma için nitel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Bilimsel süreç becerilerindeki değişimi incelemek için ayrıca bilimsel süreç becerileri testi kullanılmıştır. Seçmeli bilim uygulamaları dersinin, motivasyona etkisini incelemek amacıyla öğrenci kompozisyonları, günlükleri, söylemleri ve dersteki gözlemler incelenmiştir. Motivasyon için ayrıca fen bilimlerine yönelik motivasyon ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda seçmeli bilim uygulamaları dersinin öğrencilerin bilimsel süreç becerileri ve motivasyonlarına olumlu yönde etki ettiği söylenebilir.

In this study, fifth-grade students' modififcations of motivation and scientific process skills were analysed in optional courses of scientific application from the point of view of qualitative. The study group was selected according to its attainability and a qualitative research was favoured due to the limited number of students. The students composing the study group were fifth-grade students from the school where I am working. What makes this study important from our point of view is that the optional course of scientific applications are implemented for the first time and this course appears to be important regarding scientific education. A qualitative analyse was realized for 37 works regarding the exemplification of 32 acquisitions concerning scientific process skills (BSB) for 126 activities conducted in parallel or not with the science course programme. Apart from this,test measuring scientific process skills was used to study the modification in scientific process skills. In order to study the impact of optional course of scientific application on students' motivation, the students' essays, databooks, statements and observations during the course were analysed. Besides a motivation scale towards sciences was used for motivation. As a conclusion of the study, we can say that the optional course for scientific applications positively impacts the students' scientific process skills and motivations.
