Özet
Bu çalışmamız, Hümanizmin en önemli temsilcisi Erasmus von Rotterdam ile Reformasyonun önderi olan Martin Luther'in görüşlerinin günümüze olan etkilerini değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Erasmus'un düşünür, Martin Luther'in ise teolog olması, Alman fikir dünyasının iki farklı alanını oluşturur. Erasmus, akla dayanan eleştiriyi savunan, hoşgörülü, aydın modelini temsil ederken;Luther heyecanlı, inatçı ve mücadeleci din adamı tipini oluşturur. Luther bilimin dinin emrinde olmasını isterken, Erasmus bilimin özgürlüğünü savunmuştur. Erasmus ile Luther arasındaki temel farklılık dine bakış açılarıdır. Erasmus için din bir ahlak öğretisidir, bir doktrinden ve uyulması gereken kurallardan çok bir yaşama biçimidir. Luther'e göre ise din, bir doktrinler bütünüdür, insanı ebedi kurtuluşa götürecek amacı verir ve bunun için yaşam dinin üstüne kurulmalıdır, yani insan iman için yaşamalıdır. Erasmus, toplumun huzuru için uzlaşmayı önemli kılarken, Luther için dinden daha önemli bir şey yoktur. Luther Reform hareketiyle amacına ulaşmış ve benimsediği öğretiyi uygulamaya koymuştur. Böylece Hümanizm ve Reformun toplum üzerindeki etkilerini Erasmus ve Luther'in görüşleri çerçevesinde vermeye çalıştık.

Our study aims to evaluate the effects of the most important representative of humanism Erasmus von Rotterdam and the leader of reform Martin Luther's opinions to the present day. The fact that Erasmus is thinker and Martin Luther is theologian, creates two different areas of German ideology. While Erasmus represents defending criticism based on mind, tolerant and enlightened model; Luther creates excited, stubborn and comparative type of cleric. Luther wanted science to come at the expense of religious dogma; however, Erasmus advocated the freedom of science. The main difference between Erasmus and Luther is their views of religion. For Erasmus the religion is a teaching of morality and a life style rather than a doctrine and the rules to be followed. According to Luther, the religion is a body of doctrine and it also gives people the purpose of the eternal security. Therefore, life should be based the religion and people should live for their faith. For Erasmus compromise is significant for the society welfare. On the other hand, for Luther, there is nothing more important than religion. Luther reached his goal with reform movement and put his teachings into practice. Thus, we have tried to give the impacts of humanism and reform on the society within the framework of Erasmus and Luther's ideology.
